2025/26 David Moyes

It contained a rather nasty piece of work in a certain welshman, and the mike phelan decision didn't help. van persie is on record saying had he known saf was retiring he wouldn't have signed (heart issue) and there was already history with rooney.
Had they won the league after him there'd be more of an argument.
Or you could argue that Moyes ruined them for a generation. Ten years on and they still haven't recovered!

With the right parts for his machine, he can give any side a run. Has shown he has an eye for a player, simply hasn't been allowed enough of them at any one time. Closest he got saw Yakubu pop his achilles, and Arteta and Jagielka both downed with ACL injuries.

Disagree. He had a fully fit Yakubu, Arteta and Jagielka, as well as inform Lescott, Baines Pieenaar as well as other players before and after that, one bad injury period doesn't show a true reflection.

He's not a top manager. Always a "nearly man". Wether we can get one is another question.

David Moyes incredible Everton record - Only four managers taken more PL points since his appointment | Transfermarkt https://www.transfermarkt.com/only-4-managers-taken-more-pl-points-since-his-appointment-how-moyes-steadied-everton-ship/view/news/460609#:~:text=When David Moyes was appointed, his previous club West Ham.&text=Before his arrival, Everton had,to lead this new era.

For all those wetting their pants over Glasner and wanting Moyes out.
I mean someone who has managed more seasons in the premier league than any other manager should have racked up a fair few points. Now do his average points per season and do the ranking again.

I personally can't help but feel if we had two fullbacks who were at least competent in the opposition half, then we'd see a lot more from Ndiaye and Grealish.
But we don’t and that’s why we are where we are. If you’d of listened to all the smart people on here, a few months ago they’d of told you our window was a success as we let DCL go and kept Beto. I said at the time, our fullbacks and lack of a real striker was gonna kill us, I’ve bee proven right. Despite the criticism I took at the time.

Glasner has won more honours in the English game than Moyes.

more managers than Everton in that time?

Also the Pogba Scholes thing made matters difficult. They also weren't the top paying club in Manchester anymore.
Surely a manager of Moyes' skill could overcome those challenges and at least get them in the CL places? 1st to 7th was a pretty steep drop off, no? They finished below us that season. He did a worse job with defending champions Man Utd than Roberto Martinez did with the team that finished sixth the season before.

I imagine you will tell me that we can thank Moyes for Martinez's success that season after telling me it wasn't Moyes' fault that he bombed at Man Utd (and then at Sunderland immediately afterwards).
