2025/26 David Moyes

Sorry, what? We’re nowhere near the relegation zone, under Dyche we were 1 point outside of it at this stage of the season?! In what universe are these the same parameters being set, where on earth has that come from?
You, and I, were critical of Dyche in the 23/24 season when we were several points clear of the relegation zone at this point of that season. You have been all over this thread using the absence of Ndiaye, KDH, Gana and Branthwaite as an excuse for poor performances and results but wouldn't have it that injuries were an acceptable excuse for poor performances in Dyche teams. You, in particular, probably more than anyone else in here, do not apply the same rules and standards when it comes to judging Moyes and Dyche.

Heks had a nightmare run.

I'd still take him over the dour dinosaur though. In a heartbeat.

….it did surprise me how poor his career record is, boosted by managing in Cypriot league and Spanish 2nd tier, his overall win % is only 38.56. His PL record is only 37.14% in just over 100 games, whilst Moyes has managed more than 1,000 and has a 42.5% success rate.

Well if you see a well backed Moyes as a better manager than someone who's had an unfashionable team up near the top end of the PL a couple of times in the last few seasons then that's what you see...

Whoever raised the names of Barry, Aznou and Röhl needs firing out of a cannon long before Moyes.

Beto scored under last seasons style of play. No centre forward would get many chances with this style.

Aznou looks to be one for the future but lets see. They didnt sign a RB and Moyes didnt seem to want any put forward to him (in both windows) apart from injury prone Tete.

Rohl is injured most of the time and today was again pointless but weve not seen him clear of injury yet.

As for who signed them, that was Moyes.

Again, at no point in his Everton career was Dyche without his 5 best players at the same time. I’m not comparing the situations because they’re not the same, you and some others are pretty desperately trying to make them the same, for some unknown reason.

Moyes is outperforming Dyche anyway in every single metric, and has done since the day he joined the club. Not sure where this theory that he’s not doing so has come from either, that seems to have also been invented.

We are "stable" and that's fine but we don't have time to hang about either.

I do think TFG will ultimately take the same view, that might be considered harsh to some but I am still of the opinion that Moyes will finish this season here, but not start 26/27.
