Sorry but i cant agree with that, maybe because it's been so long since we've had a bench that can replicate our first 11, it might seem that way.
But the use of subs "In the whole" has no bearing on you picking the right/wrong line-up..
Just a simple injection of life back in your team can be made from a sub, whether they have a hand in a goal or not.
A substitution is just another tactic, you just have to play it correctly.
But if your bench doesn't remotely match the quality of your line-up, it can be like Russian roulette for a manager.
Though, they get paid well enough to pull that trigger.
You have 14 chances of having the best team at the right moment on the pitch..
That's how a manager should look at it..
