2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes needs a Fellaini type player and fast, some physicality, able to put a foot in, and not bullied out of a game.

We have no strength and presence in the middle. It was mentioned last season when Doucoure was clearly going to be allowed to leave, we have no one to go into midfield and carry the battle. We've a midfield of five foot sixers. And we're all wondering why we're not able to get a foothold in games.
Sides will look to outmuscle us all season because we've got precious little to go back at them with.

Got to fight for the right to play a bit, and we're being outfought before a balls been kicked.

Problem!

Doucoure couldn't tackle a wet paper bag

Agree we need physicality in midfield, Moyes knows it

Dithering Dave classic last night.
This!
  • Players out of position ( thought Garner coped well )
  • constant back passing ( and often into trouble) from good positions in the opponents half
  • Lack of cohesion going forward
  • Crap subs
Everything I don't like about him in a game.

I was a fan of his first stint, thought he did well. Was wary 2nd time and grateful for rescuing us from the rut Dyche was in.

He's often a slow starter in the league, that's the only hope I've got after last night. I.e. the players will get sharper, we'll get a right sided player, Moyes will get more numbers up the pitch.

Yeah Moyes faff last night. Grealish poor, needs games. Thought Garner coped pretty well out of position
He should be sufficiently & making far better decisions with the squad he had at his disposal last night. The buck stops with him.

Signings will always happen over various stages of a window - but Moyes ultimately needs to do his job around this.

Just out of interest mate what would you have done with the "players out of position? They had two very quick wingers in james and gnonto. I thought they were kept very quiet by garner and obrien considering. Could you imagine if we'd gone 3 at the back and keane was trying to chase james?
I mean i get some of the Moyes has his ways etc. But whats he meant to do last night with no left back available. It causes so much problems not only in defence but we have nobody over lapping because he's not naturaly left footed(Garner)
The team desperately needs some fullbacks that can join in pushing forward to create space.
Bar that i dont know what he can do other than make sure we're not conceding.

But if they can get the ball forward quicker we wouldn't need that type of player. By that I mean not playing out from the back. Two touch bam let's go. There's plenty of pace we did against utd last season for that monumental 1st half. Last night I thought we looked like we had web feet.. a few times when it did zip about we looked comfortable. Even Pickford's distribution was woeful.

I want to visit some at their workplace and call for their sacking once they have a bad day

There’s no excuse for last night! It was the performance that was worse than the result. We didn’t look ready for the PL starting.

At no point did I think we would win this game from when the game kicked off.

Everyone is to blame, players manager recruitment

you”you”

i thought a draw before hand

we wasn’t ready the team wasn’t set up to

but if leeds was playing PSG

they’d of still set up to go at
them

it’s the knee jerking after it

utterly embarrassing some of the shouts

Signings needed asap though pre season and last night is Moyes as he sets them up

They are playing like they are strangers thrown together

“We wasn’t ready”

We’ve known since May or before when season starts so why wasn’t we ready?

Zero excuse for any team to not be ready for the start of the season.
