2025/26 David Moyes

But the points deductions happened, and we'd taken nine points from the previous 15 games and had just been absolutely smashed by Chelsea. If anyone didn't have a single worry about relegation that season then they have a legitimate superpower.

It's annoying that the BBC can't show the table on old match reports anymore, I find tables on this date pages often get the points deductions mixed up. If anyone can confirm how close we were to the relegation zone before the Forest game...
But in the context of a discussion about us being happy with this season because we didn't have to worry about relegation all season you can only factor in the points deduction if you also make allowances for how we'd have felt if we'd had 8 points deducted this year. Seeing as that would have seen us finish 2 points clear of West Ham you'd have to say it's maybe not something people making that argument really want to introduce to the conversation.

We were 2 points ahead of Luton prior to the Forest game, with a game in hand and much better goal difference.

Why would we get a DOF when we waited 8 months to get the complete transfer committee
3pts from the last 21 on offer.
Gana allegedly  Injured sorry, 'stood down' in case we had to give him a new contract
£37? Mill Dibling getting splinters on the bench
Barry
O'Brien at RB
Allegedly signing the soon to be 31 Grealish for a shed ton of wages

Somebody has to get Tweedledum and tweedldumber Moyes and Kinnear sorted out.

The best Committee is a committee of 3 when 2 don't turn up

Nobody is DoF*
We have for want of a better word - a Committee
And you know what they say about Committees...A Camel is a Horse designed by a committee

* Hence the rumour about TFG moving Ranieri in as DoF
Can’t see than myself, ‘The Committee’ was Anus Kinnears bright idea iirc, he was certainly extolling its virtues pre season.
If they did a 180 on that (aka a moyesette manoeuvre), it pretty much tells us they don’t have much faith in his ideas (🤞)

I’d like to think there would be some reactions from the Friedkins after seeing over half their transfer budget sat on the bench and barely getting minutes in Dibling Rohl Alcaraz George Aznou.

if they had anything about them they’d be asking how that happened last season and what changes are being made so it doesn’t occur this season.

Personally don’t think a DoF or committee change that while Moyes is picking the team….

It seems to me that this committee lets call it what it is - Moyes Vs Kinnear - dont seem to be on the same page.

I dunno if Kinnear hold that much sway in player recruitment tbh, obviously he does on the finances, but in terms of selections for the squad, I’m not sure.
He might have a standing order from above to recruit a certain age to exploit value increases down the line, but Moyes is still saying yes or no to them.
I can’t believe Moyes didn’t say yes to Dibling and Anzou and had them forced on him. It’s contrary to Moyes own statements on recruitment.
Equally I think Moyes would have more to say on it if he was told it’s Anzou & Dibling or nothing for that spend / positions.
Whatever went on last summer, it needs to be radically better this one, if we are sticking with Moyes.

I don't care what the 'official' line is - there's no way Moyes had anything to do with picking them 2

Very True
