It doesn’t take multiple years of player trading to improve , it takes intent and quality management.
Our poor showing confirms we currently have neither.
But if the intention is to improve by a point or so a year , we should be approaching what Sunderland have already achieved in about 5 more seasons , give or take .

Yep. Sunderland have proven that the ambitionless Moyes approach is redundant in the premier league.

Forget about Moyes for the moment, is it better to change manager part way through a season or for a new guy to have a full preseason and the opportunity to sign the players they want prior to a season starting?

If quality management was all it takes we would finish 7th every season. The problem is 14 other squads with similar budgets have the same idea and in reality we were not far off getting 7th. Just our two best players losing form cost us
