2025/26 David Moyes

They paid up last summer for wages for a 50 mill player on loan that you wanted to build the team around

Bought a 25 mill attacking midfielder from Chelsea

Got close to the club record on a player from Southampton that they valued at 100 mill

Made Alcaraz permanent for 15 mill

Committed to the permanent signing of a young German box to box midfielder Rohl

Committed to 30 mill signing of a young French striker from a CL team

New contract for Branthwaite

New contracts offered for every player you wanted to keep

Strengthened again in January with wages for George

and you returned basically the same points as a manager who had to sell his players for profit to keep the club afloat during a points deduction.

I don’t think it’s the owners who need to show something next season David
this is a good post but Dyche is still an absolutely pathetic manager.
The fact that moyes isnt streets ahead of him is damning.

Moyes still took United further into the CL then any other manager then Ferguson.

Id think what is more damming is the fact that out of 72 possible chances at domestic trophies. Only 10 of them have been won by teams outside the "big 6" and 3 of those where when teams were spending money like it was water.

And 2 of those 3 were relegated because of reckless spending and has essentially destroyed the clubs.

But hey ho im sure that moyes fault too somehow in your mind
Moyes 2026 is a crap manager...slightly better than Dyche. END OF.

It's just so disappointing that with all the good that has come from new ownership, they can't seem to make the obvious decision staring them right in the face.

They need to sack Moyes and bring someone in who isn't afraid of young players and taking on risk. This idea that just exisiting and finishing 14th every year is good enough has to change. Signing vets with premier League experience will never get you back near the top again.

Dyche didn’t spend 100 mill to be rubbish. He turned a profit doing it.

Moyes is giving us the same gruel but we paid 100 mill for the privilege of it.
100 million in the premier league is the price of standing still. I have major issues with Moyes tactics and man management at the moment but please stop pretending like 100 million should have you challenging for anything.

I don't know who said this to you but I don't think that's the generally accepted issue, I believe that relatively speaking, it's a lot of money for us (net), and that the outcome from such an investment has been poor with little future squad development.

exactly when all other clubs have done this for how many windows
You tell me. The rs, Chelsea, Man City,Man Utd, Villa and Spurs. The promoted clubs have spent their windfall but started from a very low base. Of the clubs who've been in the division for a few years most of them have made a net profit on transfers - Palace, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham. If any of them spent £100 million more than they brought in that would be a massive deal for them.
