2025/26 David Moyes

It's absolutely damning. When you think Moyes was at United too and couldn't even emulate Erik ten Hag in the trophy stakes.

Moyes is basically a formula 1 driver who spends 20 years finishing every race just out of the points.

Moyes still took United further into the CL then any other manager then Ferguson.

Id think what is more damming is the fact that out of 72 possible chances at domestic trophies. Only 10 of them have been won by teams outside the "big 6" and 3 of those where when teams were spending money like it was water.

And 2 of those 3 were relegated because of reckless spending and has essentially destroyed the clubs.

But hey ho im sure that moyes fault too somehow in your mind

Lol! Talk about straw clutching.

Get off your knees.

The Bournemouth manager is now on a plate for them waiting for a call.

But no we will sit on our hands and hope he turns it around.

While i would replace moyes with iraola this summer and i think hes a fantastic manager. He does tend to have large winless runs in the season and i just worry what our fans would do if he starts the season with 1 win in 11 games like he did when he took over Bournemouth?

I also think people need to remember iraola has had 3 seasons at Bournemouth and spent over £400m while there.

He's been given time and resources to implement what he needs on the club. I dont think he gets that at everton. Especially with our fans, we've went from battling relegation to challenging for Europe in a season and people are after our managers head.

A lot of the £400m was to replace players they sold, this is on of the things that has impressed me the most about him, he has rebuilt the team twice now and improved it. All this without the throwing of his toys from the pram we seeing from Moyes now regarding spending. Agree on the winless run but I'd like to think we'd be more patient if we could see a positive style being developed or progress being made.

That said I'd be wary of hiring Iraola without the proper structure around him; he's a head coach and not a manager. Without a DoF he may struggle.

They paid up last summer for wages for a 50 mill player on loan that you wanted to build the team around

Bought a 25 mill attacking midfielder from Chelsea

Got close to the club record on a player from Southampton that they valued at 100 mill

Made Alcaraz permanent for 15 mill

Committed to the permanent signing of a young German box to box midfielder Rohl

Committed to 30 mill signing of a young French striker from a CL team

New contract for Branthwaite

New contracts offered for every player you wanted to keep

Strengthened again in January with wages for George

and you returned basically the same points as a manager who had to sell his players for profit to keep the club afloat during a points deduction.

I don’t think it’s the owners who need to show something next season David

Or just talking facts.

But you dont understand facts do you because they seem to constantly go against your agenda.

Tell me when moyes starts winning again next season are you going to mysteriously disappear of this fourm again till we loose?
C'mon there's no way that any analysis of Moyes in terms of winning things puts him anywhere other than the average bracket. Why you wouldn't get rid when Glasner for instance is available is beyond me.
