2025/26 David Moyes

We had other options in midfield though, that promising young midfielder we hardly ever gets the chance to prove himself may have been the answer. As i said we will never know now...

Maybe, but I still wouldn't be convinced any young player that isn't getting a game is going to be the answer. There's a huge difference between potential and realising it.

I'm gonna come at this from a serious point of view and say definitely the Premier League. My prediction is they'd do well in the Championship defensively but would be amongst the worst on the ball.
My assertion was that our fullback situation was the worst, not the players themselves. Myko would do well a division lower, but the fact that we have a 6ft 5 CB playing right back with 2 RB's we don't trust to play, on the bench and a starting LB but absolutely no back up is surely something no other club would brook. When Mykolenko was unavailable I think Coleman, Patterson and Gardner played minutes at LB - amateur hour.

The only way you can realise potential is game time,Harrison has shown that, even more so when not played out wide.
Full agreement! Garner should have been at RB with Harrison Armstrong the #6. He played half a season in that role at PNE and was getting Rave reviews. The only times Moyes did anything was during the AFCON/Injury crisis. Guess what - We improved!!!

Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe and we've spent the last few years flirting with relegation. Come on.
Haven't seriously flirted with relegation in over three years, stop succumbing to this sad sack plucky Everton narrative, hey we shouldn't expect to contend for champions League but this oh we're poor Everton who are lucky not be relegated now is absurd we've been a lower midtable team for the last couple of years

If Sean Dyche ever said, like Moyes did last summer, that no one wanted to sign for the club because basically we've been too crap for too long, then people would have turned up at Finch Farm wanting to break the gates down. And to boot he's going to be spending this summer sat off in Talksport's studio chatting crap about the World Cup.

Awful attitude and it should never be put up with. He needs us more than we need him that's the top and bottom of it.
THIS....Moyes is given SO MUCH LEEWAY by the fans, owners, and media...must be because of his longevity. Problem is when you actually look at that big bloody lengthy resume, theres really sod all on it. It is a mystery he gets such a pass by so many. Missed his calling, shouldve been a politician.

With Brainthwaite's absence what would you have done differently? I would have played Garner at full back and pushed O'Brien into the middle but I'm under no illusion that wasn't a great solution either.
So he should of just been playing calamity Keane every game what you mentioned that would of been a better option or maybe just playing a natural right back like Patterson there who wasn't great but hasn't been terrible when he's been on the pitch this season, Rohl could have played at right back as well

You look at Jack Hinshelwood at Brighton and Alex Scott at Bournemouth, granted a bit older than Armstrong but given the chance to play and develop, the only way you can fulfil potential.
