2025/26 David Moyes

But the Friedkins don't care.

Angus said as much.

It's all about flipping the asset. They don't want to hang around long enough to have to build an entertaining football team. That's too much trouble when they can flup us in a few years after cleaning up our balance sheet and using the stadium to do so. Season tickets will still sell out. Add rugby, other events, and they're laughing - especially at Evertonians continuing to pay through the nose for dross. A captive market.

Season ticket price rises all round!
Yeah, I know. I'm just grasping at straws.

Very odd. I connect to read the latest pages on here earlier and Rita is all over the thread stretching credibility to defend this uninspiring manager. I come back on again now to catch up and Rita has stopped, and the Moyes fan troll account picks up the baton and proceeds to tie themselves into knots to defend any possible slight against him

It's bizarre

What a miserable club that this is our reality. The only stupid club that would give so much time to a manager with a hideous record against our biggest rival, and allow them to lead such a negative narrative on our status in English football.

The thread only misses angry Kev to come back and sneer at anybody who doesn't want him. Not been seen in a while for some reason

I appear to be copping sarcy trophies aots today. happy days.

i've made no excuse and called it as fair as i've seen it all season.

if one of the omnishambles lot had piped up pre or post chelsea with 'moyes out' it's all going tits up, we're doomed then I didnt read it or hear it.

the doomsayers have come out en masse since our form dipped and the chance at europe slipped with it. 17 months in and 'what have you done for me lately'.

I hope he signs Doucoure and Soucek this summer just to spite some of the empty vessels around here! oh how I'll laugh...

:/
You’ve been sat in a different part of the ground than me Rita then…home form has been a catastrophe pretty much all season.
At best we’ve stagnated, and unfortunately I really don’t see the three musketeers Moyes, Irvine and McKinlay delivering anything much better next season sadly. Personally, it’s a massive gamble giving Moyes the summer kitty.

Very good. Respectful, nuanced, brings about your point.

You have a career. I've tried to stick to the facts, granted a little humour may have crept through. (yes, a very little)...

Moyes aint in the clear, but we're 17 months on from malevolence. Last summer ~£80m of player walked.

That’s not the point - it’s accurate statistical analysis by a computer. It gives a good, granular account of his record. AI is just a new tool.

Basically it suggests Moyes is a good candidate to stabilize and build before handing the side off once it’s reached a higher level.
Yes David….fold your cardy up and get yourself of to bed.
They replaced Paul Scholes with Fellaini. They signed Mata in the January in a move of desperation and he didn’t even fit into the team.

Make no bones about it, their squad fell off a cliff and they had a simply awful summer window. Moyes had lined up Toni Kroos for the summer. Whether that would have been enough to make up for their inadequacies is an open question. They certainly were nowhere near challenging Man City regardless.
Imagine how gutted Toni Kroos was when he learned his chance of being coached to greatness by Gollum McMoyes had evaporated in a matter of months.
