2025/26 David Moyes

Everton should do everything imaginably possibly to bring in Andoni Iraola. Ambitious football, high pressing and modern coaching. The future should not be another take on blue-tinted nostalgia from well over 20 years ago with Moyesie. (Btw isn’t that going well!). Any take suggesting the stoney faced, witless, arl dinosaur promoting absolutely rancid ‘football’ through the same fearful 11 players because he apparently brings ‘stability’ is not interested in a proactive and positive future for the club. Enough.

According to Bobble we are sticking with Moyes so that's it until Christmas when TFG start looking for their new guy then.
Who needs Bobble when Angus told us as much as explicitly as possible without saying "Here's a new contract, Moyesy".

The club has embraced footballing irrelevance and conservative asset management. They are here to flip the stadium when the time comes. We're just the obligation that came with it.

You want andoni then you have to give him a lot of money to bring his Spanish friends with him to play his tiki taka style

Or you stick with Moyes who only wants old and experienced players who are about to be taken to the glue factory and have developed a fear of the ball that they just hoof it away anytime it gets near them

It would now be the logical move from them.

They have made their decision. These conservatives want a conservative. And they have him.

So, why have him manage a squad as a lame duck, when he can be a dead duck. He's here to keep their stadium project ticking over.
The empty stadium for the "lap of appreciation" was hopefully something for them to think about before flashing out new contracts. I reckon it could get quite toxic, quite quickly. I keep hearing from the Moyes fans on here that the match going fans are all in on Moyes but that didn't seem the case on Sunday.

I will never forget how those of us who'd wanted him out were getting vaulted from the "HAHA LOL @ U EUROPE LAD" crowd because we got a few wins and were temporarily in sixth. Because league position in January is such a fantastic measure of success. Weird how quiet some of them are these days.
Why is it wierd ?

The only wierd thing is going into this season with your mind already made up.
The normal thing to do is look and see how things play out over the season.

You have a few people on here though that are so Entrenched in their thoughts that it can make it toxic.

But the Friedkins don't care.

Angus said as much.

It's all about flipping the asset. They don't want to hang around long enough to have to build an entertaining football team. That's too much trouble when they can flip us in a few years after cleaning up our balance sheet and using the stadium to do so. Season tickets will still sell out. Add rugby, other events, and they're laughing - especially at Evertonians continuing to pay through the nose for dross. A captive market.

Season ticket price rises all round!
