2025/26 David Moyes

He turned them down becuase he wants to move to a bigger club.

By all accounts they offered him a massive contract but he said no. They ultimately will always be a selling club with a tiny stadium and fanbase no matter how much they overachieve.
Does he require the same set up at big club fc when he lands and can said big club guarantee that status. We saw how badly things went at spurs this season, Frank was hot property 12 months ago, can't get a job sweeping up hair now...

So what! It's frankly a pathetic response to point to one off games and claim some kind of proof that Moyes is a better manager. Emery is likely to add yet another trophy to his track record, Glasner is also about to add his third career trophy. Moyes isn't close to being as good as either of them.
I await your even handed dismissal where others point to one off games as 'pathetic'.

Sadly, I won't be holding my breath.

You can’t let being afraid put you off getting better. Any transfer is a risk but you still make them.

As a fanbase we need to change our mentality. Stability, be careful what you wish for need to be binned along with Moyes. If Kinnear spouts any more crap he needs to be gone too.

If only to give the fans some optimism.

Come on, that's ridiculous.

They flogged players for a lot because they bought well and improved them, that's what we should be trying to do and it should be applauded.

And then when you manage to do it, you can go and spend £40 million on Evanilson and still have a £24 million net spend per season.
Thats true in general but last summer we were replacing a lot that we got no money for so the 116mil spend can't be compared to Bournemouth

some of us are scarred from recent run in survivals. a bit of surety re survival has been a welcome break. who was coming in to rebuild us and see in BMD whilst firefighting a league campaign with an arm tied behind their back.
last summer we did the business as best we could. need that improvement again.

pickford
??? O'Brien Branthwaite ???
Ndiaye Garner ??? D-Hall Grealish
???

The bare bones of a solid starting eleven is there.

Thats exactly what West Ham fans said when they binned Moyesia

yeah, I think so.
Pickford
New RB, Obrien, Branthwaite, Myko
Garner, KDH
Ndiaye, *Alcaraz, Grealish
new striker.

*there's a few players a new manager could try at 10, Armstrong, Dibling, Rohl, George.

There you go. Put in a good RB and good striker and I think that side could get top 6.
If the new manager is glasner, we'd probably need two new wingbacks and a new striker but yeah, top 6

but that goes right to Moyes wanting "EXPERIENCED PLAYERS" in the summer. It's literally impossible to know how a younger player will react to anything in match without playing them IN THE MATCH. Sure, would you be happy with Dibling being cack? Of course not. But running a player into the ground then bringing on a player that had both feet out the door in January but got his arm caught in the door at the end, we KNOW he's not the answer. It's a damning indictment of how Moyes has used the squad this year. His in game management has, largely, been awful.

The McNeil situation is Moyes' biggest failure. A player he'd already clearly decided wasn't good enough bizarrely being brought back into the fold was a terrible mistake.

It's clear Moyes doesn't rate the squad. Even though it all went wrong, time might still prove him right on that assertion. The really frustrating thing is we don't know.

Moyes sends the same players out, who are horribly out of form, week after week. He can't control their form but he can control who plays based on their form. In fact, that has to be one of the major responsibilities of a manager, no? If they've suddenly become gun shy, try someone else. Put George on instead of Ndiaye, for example.
barry and george got used away at arsenal and stunk the place out terrible.

sometimes a change works out worse.

catch22, again.

disingenuous.

Evanilson £40m

Because they've flogged some players to the rs and chelsea (iirc) that net spend has been massaged.
They've got a net spend of £120m over five years, so an average net spend per year of £24m. That's a fact, not an opinion, if you consider that disingenuous then I can't help you. Them being good at selling their players is a plus for them, not sure why you think it's some sort of "massaging". Odd take, that.
