2025/26 David Moyes

This is not moshiri or Bill, so we keep Moyes for years then, because this committee and owners may get it wrong
They will surely have a list of managers that fit the philosophy they want, half the committee weren’t in place when Moyes got the job, I’m not sure how long Kinnear. Had been in the job.

When dyche said he’s was done and wanted out, TFG/kinnear were in a tricky situation, do they try for weeks to get the manager they want out of a club and pay a massive fee for him. Or get Moyes who’s a steady hand and out of work, they only wanted to give Moyes an 18month deal The fact is had dyche seen out the season, Moyes wouldn’t be our mananger now

None of us has said years....just for now.

Just as much chance this committee are rubbish too...we have changed ppl in those potions too. Seems some are backing this committee ahead of the manager.

Spanish fraud šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ what’s he’s doing at Bournemouth is better than anything Moyes ever did at Everton , he also did a fantastic job in Spain with 2 small clubs

The trend in predictable mate, within an hour of Moyes being appointed - i joked you will all turn on him eventually, said the same last year when he was the best thing since sliced bread. Here we are.

Any new manager will be held with contempt on here within 2 years, 100% - even if on here - isnt really reflective of the entire fanbase.

It does beg the question though, if the vast majority were happy with him 12 months ago and not now, that shows a flaw in judgement, so really why should I believe said majority now when they want him out.

He’s a point better off from
Dyche 2 yrs ago
Who isn’t bored of Moyes’s football
If he had joined us from abroad and we didn’t know much about him, I think a lot maybe me included would be saying, the football ain’t great he’s a bit defensive, but maybe it’s his squad so I’d happily say give him another Summer to buy some players and another season to see if he can kick on and improve the performances.

But we all know after 25yrs of watching this manager, nothing is changing no matter who he buys or how long he stays

Dyche did ok that season, its was not always utter terrible.

We have 2 games left.

Me, im not bored of it, we play decent stuff at times, with a few good players. We just need more of them good players.

Its not happening.

Moyes is here this summer.

TFG have told him in no uncertain terms that they expect European qualification next season if he's to be retained.

Thats where we're at..I think it will take a drastic change of heart for them to change at this point.

Depending on our profile and if Fabregas is still at Como in a season or so, I'll think TFG will throw the kitchen sink at him.

If Iraola was their first choice why on earth wouldn’t they go for him now he’s available? I don’t think they have a clue what they’re doing personally.

  • Reached a historic Copa del Rey semi-final run (major overachievement for a small club) [current-affairs.org]

  • Promoted to La Liga (2020–21) in first season [en.wikipedia.org]
  • Established them as a competitive top-flight side
  • Reached Copa del Rey semi-finals (2021–22) (another overachievement)

āœ… Bournemouth (2023–present)

  • Took over after relegation-threat situation
  • Achieved:
  • Turned them into a top-half competitive side

First time I've looked at Iraolas managerial career.
He improves every club he's been at

But always managing small clubs with small club mentalities and small club fan bases.

We are a different kettle of fish. This feels a bit like the "why can't we be a bit more like Brighton" argument. Because signing 18 year olds to sell them on and finishing 10th every year isn't who we are!

We have a manager now that treats us like a small club with a small mentality.

This is where the club’s hierarchy need to be decisive.

If there are better options than Moyes free this summer then we should be pursuing them aggressively and have it nailed down by the end of June so we have a full pre-season for a new coaching team to bed in and start the new season on the front foot.

I think Glasner might be a better option for us than Iraola but I have a slight concern that his Bournemouth tenure is one of those ā€œright man at right timeā€ when a number of things come to fruition but unlikely to be repeated…I would not say no to him but I do think he would be more of a risk.

However,as this is Everton it is unlikely to happen so ā€œStuck with Moyesā€ it is for next season!

Ok, we know you don’t like Moyes, but this is just a load of complete and utter testicles.
Why ??? 20yrs ago only 4 teams were spending money, Moyes was competing for Europe with, Blackburn, Bolton, Middlesbrough etc
Bournemouth get champions league after loosing 4 of his best players in an era when 7 or 8 teams spend big money and the rest of the league spend a 100mil is a bigger achievement in my opinion, than Moyes in 05
