I think what he meant was 1 in 4 of my transfers is a successI still can't believe he said 1 in 4 transfers will be a success.
Mad thing to say/think.

The single biggest transfer miss was Barry, who has gotten plenty of minutes despite performances. Rohl had a man of the match performance against Villa and never got a sniff since, McNeil has been plodding about whilst George and Dibling stay on the bench.I don’t actually have a big problem with Moyes, his line ups or his subs in all honesty.
The biggest problem this season is the dreadful transfer window we had last summer, and the non-event one in January.
Knock yerselves out thinking Aznou, Rohl or Dibling would have transformed our season had they got more minutes, it’s nonsense though.
Whilst I’d LOVE for us to have a miracle performance and beat City…I am also very ready to be the main hater in this thread later tonight when I’m back from the gameOnly 2 pages added to the thread so far today.

They won’t have ‘transformed the season’, but Moyes’ incredible predictable when it comes to the starting XI and subs makes having players on the bench all but redundant. Players must know it doesn’t matter how they train or how the players in front of them perform- they’re not gonna get a proper chance regardless. If you’re a new player and not 28+, you’re not playing.
At least he wasn’t run past by every player like Gueye is. I love Gueye, he simply does not have the legs to play a full 90 minutes of PL football - and he always gets the full game. His passing is also atrocious.Rohl was ok against Villa. It wasn’t this barnstorming breakthrough man of the match performance it’s been built up as since though! The lad gives the ball away in awful areas, I imagine that’s why he hasn’t played much.

They wouldn’t have had a massive impact no, and I don’t think they were particularly bought to be immediate difference makers. KDH, Grealish and Barry were all the signings that needed to hit the ground running, the most important of those never did and we’ve been punished massively for it. Dibling was bought to come on and have impacts at the end of games, develop and push the starters. Probably ditto with Rohl, George and Aznou. Really seems like no matter what, they’re not going to get minutes because the subs are pre planned before a ball is kicked. Next season, we should have had a Dibling full of confidence to make a stamp next season, Rohl and Tim knocking on the door of the first team. But it’s not been allowed to happen in any capacity. Moyes’ handling of young players is awful, almost as bad as his ability to buy a good striker.Probably Tim and Rohl and Alcaraz should have played more. I just don’t think it would have made any sort of difference either way. Certainly not compared to wasting £100 million.
