I see no justification in keeping him beyond this season unless of course you are happy just existing in the PL, Thats all Moyes does. That an very extreme take on what I said. Did I touch a nerve or something?
'Shackled to Moyes until death?' or accept that he has done what was asked of him and what he promised day one...looking up the table and in the conversation for Europe.
Sacking somebody for a marked improvement is just bad practice imo and Abramovic pumped a small fortune into Chelsea to be able to take those risks, which we've been docked points for doing on a much smaller scale.
I see no justification for sacking Moyes now and my guess is neither do TFG
Yup, people seem more concerned with preserving David Moyes's job prospects rather than progressing Everton.I see no justification in keeping him beyond this season unless of course you are happy just existing in the PL, Thats all Moyes does.
Lets say we are where we are next season what do you do next summer?
His job here is done, kept us up last year, and a season for settling in the new stadium with out the threat of relegation.
Hyperbole is fine, but you did jump to an extreme take when I had only pointed out that changing managers doesnt always work out, which it doesn't, and which we have recent experience of too.Touched a nerve? It’s just a phrase, a bit of hyperbole, didn’t realise everything would be taken so literally. This is what I come to expect from the ‘Comfy Cardigan Brigade’ (love that by the way), criticism over how we’ve botched Europe is dismissed as being dramatic or extreme. Similarly, the refusal to see that two things can be true at once. He’s done the minimum of what was expected, keep us safe. But when given a golden opportunity to really make a push for progress, old habits creep in and we bottle it. That’s absolutely fair game to be fuming over, especially when a lot of the scepticism around Moyes coming back to begin with was his ceiling. Out of the cups within the first rounds again too.
I am turning in to SSN deadline day to see if we will sign a fullback or not. With the Summer purse almost in reaching distance now, I can Imagine that thread will be steamrolling soon..
If it is the same next year at the end of his contract we move on then. Mid contract now he has improved our situation, lets see what he can do to improve on that before renewingI see no justification in keeping him beyond this season unless of course you are happy just existing in the PL, Thats all Moyes does.

Respectfully, get over it. It was just there to probe a response. Nobody cares about the pearl clutching over something clearly said in hyperbole.Hyperbole is fine, but you did jump to an extreme take when I had only pointed out that changing managers doesnt always work out, which it doesn't, and which we have recent experience of too.
For the record I do feel we've botched Europe though the places may be many yet, its not in our hands anymore and that's disappointing.
The cups were a joke and I do think Moyes acts like we're in Europe by buying into a rotate in cups attitude which is irritating.
But I also think he has done his job, we are better than we were and he deserves to at least see out his contract.
'Get over it'?Respectfully, get over it. It was just there to probe a response. Nobody cares about the pearl clutching over something clearly said in hyperbole.
Regarding the last bit, by then, it’ll be far too late. The underperforming ‘big’ clubs will bounce back and the clubs in and around us will kick on because they DID get Europe before us. That’s the future with Moyes.
typical Moyes in brigade, paint everyone else as overreacting, like that scandalous second paragraph (oooo hyperbole I know you don’t like that haha) is anything other than a fact'Get over it'?
Lad, you're the one freaking out.
And 'pearl clutching'? Read your own 2nd paragraph back. Wow
I strongly disagree mate, I think its another season wasted doing nothing, over 20 years he has been in management and won nothing (I dont count that farce conference crap) where you play against sparkys from Bulgaria and plumbers from Latvia for the majority of games. If it is the same next year at the end of his contract we move on then. Mid contract now he has improved our situation, lets see what he can do to improve on that before renewing
It's a reasonable position to take imo
He won a European trophy
Guess you don't know, you might want to sit down.
Moyes did ok in Europe for West Ham.
Seriously ladtypical Moyes in brigade, paint everyone else as overreacting, like that scandalous second paragraph (oooo hyperbole I know you don’t like that haha) is anything other than a fact
Its a European trophy. Would you say no to it?Not a major one.
Papa John Conference Charity Shield doesn't count as a major trophy.
that’s it folks! Moyes out is now officially an extreme position!Seriously lad
I didnt even mention Moyes and you went off on one, then claimed hyperbole, and are now making it look less and less hyperbolic.
I'm not painting you as anything, that's all you. I'm not in any 'brigade'. You'd know that if you'd actually read what I said.
Take it easy on the extreme positions ffs, especially on things you've no control over
