2025/26 David Moyes

We don’t really know that, though, do we?

Patterson has not pulled up trees but he’s been absolutely fine. Aznou hasn’t looked like the lost child you’d expect him to given his treatment so far, when he’s had a rare few minutes.

He has his idea of who the best XI players in the squad are and he’ll have them all on the pitch at once, and in so doing will completely forsake any notion of balance.
Forgive me if I don't think Patterson is anywhere near good enough for Everton. He didn't do anything bad in that short run, but I don't think he did anything good either. It'd be a matter of time. I'm inclined to believe they are right that Aznou isn't physically ready to play at left back, but you're right that he looked capable against Sunderland, I don't know what's going on with him being omitted completely.

I think that still counts as not great.

Again, there was context in the original conversation which - for reasons which aren't entirely clear to me - you're completely removing. The comment was about people losing hope if we had 2 more years of negative football. I just said I agreed with that, I did not at any point claim that we hadn't improved at all. There's still a very realistic prospect of us finishing lower than we have in the last 2 years though, so I think you could probably argue it was 'oblivious and childish' to make out like we've definitely had a much better season and made huge strides (although you'd have to be careful not to come across as passive aggressive).
Now that is passive aggressive mate.

Did I just see crack in your Armour.
Not the management
Not the squad
Not the results
Not the style

The coffee slurp could be his downfall..
Moyes is just a misery, make us believe, make it positive, tell us good things about the squad. No he is just negative, I am sure I heard him moan his coffee was too hot, then moan it was too cold in the same press conference.

In Moyes' defence.

Mykolenko is absolutely terrible.

As in, really bad.
He's a perfectly capable Premier League-level fullback - with one or two notable flaws. That's literally the long and short of it.

Find it mad how over the top people go on about him just because he isn’t quite 'attacking-minded' enough.

Could we upgrade on him in the market? absolutely we can - doesn't mean he's 'absolutely terrible'....

Yes it's a great point, I believe we lose a lot more with Garner at right back than Patterson, Garner is a better right back, yes but we lose Garner from midfield which is nuts

To me it is like cutting your lower arm off to improve your elbow.

I don't think he has right to question if the coffee has gone cold, he's the one that likes to keep the same cup in his hand for to long, would he drink from a newly fresh cup..

I would hold the manager to account, he has said go ahead and buy now he is saying improve. Horrendous management.
If you think Moyes had any say on the signings of Dibling or Aznou then you really don't know the guy at all. He may say he has final say but that is for ready made 1st teamer's (Grealish, KDH, etc..). It is why he is under no obligation to play them unless they are good enough. We may see more of Dibling next season but Aznou was bought for post Moyes. We hope to have more Aznou like signings this summer again for post Moyes. This summer Moyes again will get a couple of 1st teamers through loans, frees or cheap with maybe 1 marquee signing. The club will probably get another few youngsters in and the following season (27/28) we should have 5/6 extra players ready for the 1st team when I expect a new coach to take them on. Moyes is here to keep us stable until then.

Disagree - in my opinion, he wouldn't get in 17+ Premier League teams, so I can see why Moyes would prefer to not play him now he has the chance.

I'd also struggle to name a worse left backs in Everton's PL history, as in - any player we've played left back who I'd rather have Mykolenko over.

I'll be happy once he's moved on and I don't have to watch him any more.

Moyesy doesn't like a new mug, he has his Shrewsbury Town captains mug from 1987. He glued on the handle back in 2002 after smashing it when told there was a promising youth player in the academy, he needed to play.

The worry should be that he completely destroys the confidence of those players in the time he's here and develops a reputation for the club that we don't play youth.
