2025/26 David Moyes

I was on the fence about whether he should see out his contract.

Another year of joyless, dismal football next season but we'd probably be around where we are now.

But I can honestly see him getting sacked next season if he stays.

He's done good job since coming back but let's bring in new manager at the end of season.

Our best players won't stick around and I wouldn't blame them tbh. Who wants to play this type of football?

Completely undermined a decent atmosphere in the ground last night with absolutely abysmal team selection.

Starting to get a bit fed up now with his supposedly clever second guessing of the oppo by cramming as many square pegs in round holes as possible.

It's abundantly obvious to anyone with a rudimentary understanding of the game".

1) Play a ******* right back at right back.

2) Gana needs to be used more sparingly he's goosed after AFCON and so off it.

3) KDH is not a ten. Play him deeper next to Garner.

4) Tarkowski and Keane is a toxic combination. The former should now be being phased out to third choice the latter 4th. JOB and Branthwaite should be first choice.

5) None of this playing centre mids out wide to block a wing off, especially when our full backs aren't the best anyway to overlap.

George, N'diaye and Dibling only from now on.

How a supposedly experienced PL manager can see it I don't know.
He will probably play Patterson, dibling, George and Rhol away and Arsenal, we get beat and he will say i told you so

His team selection last night was appalling, playing two centre backs who have absolutely no pace as a pair, just so he can have a giant playing full back was stupid. Gueye should not be a starter anymore and taking Garner out of midfield to play full back was again a poor decision. For me though, the biggest crime of all, is persisting with playing Armstrong on the wing, what the effect on his confidence will be long term, who knows. I'm quite happy for him to start, but, as a central midfielder.

Square pegs in round holes is ok if there is no alternative, but, with an almost full squad available, square pegs in round holes is unacceptable. Keane and Tarkowski should only play as a partnership if there is absolutely no alternative, wingers should play on the wing and full backs at full back.

That’s why it’s best for him to go in the summer, it allows us to plan for and recruit a successor and plan for their arrival. Sacking mid season throws everything up into the air with little to no planning.

We were already 2-1 down and all over the shop

We were 1 up and dominating. Bournemouth made 2 attacking subs, equalised. Moyes put on a CM for a RW. Go 2.1 down. JOB gets sent off.

The pattern seems to be...if you press and really attack us, we fold. Teams coming to the Dicko know this and have done it. Hence why Moyes prefers us to soak up pressure and hope to nick a goal which works well away from home.

His future needs addressing in the summer. We can’t go into next season with him just having 1 year left on his contract. It creates a tricky environment for signing new players and we need players we want to keep to see the club is moving forwards and not settling for negative tactics and awful home form.
He needs bombing out the club, there’s nothing to address. He’s outdated and out of ideas, he has yes men next to him on the bench. Wants it all his own way.
I couldnt believe what I was watching at the corners last night, even if we’d scored one it wound have probably been disallowed

50 IMO.

Two more than the last two campaigns...after pumping £110M into the squad and having the boost of 12,000 more fans cheering you on for half your games.
We lost 12 players at the end of last season.

Let’s not pretend we were out spending money like a drunken pirate on shore leave.

The stadium can go either way as proven by other clubs.

You also fail to mention the excellent away form, as it negates your point about the stadium.

My honest opinion is I think he’s lost the plot and gone into full self-preservation mode. He’s made his bed regarding O’Brien as a right back, Keane and Gana as first choice, Armstrong on the wing, KDH as a number 10, and he is a manager that is far more likely to double down on his methods when they’re failing than ever risk changing them and it working and making him look stupid.

In a weird, backwards way, the more it is proven that this team that he thinks our best team fails, the less likely it is that we will see any changes. When it gets to that point there’s only one way it ends. I expect these owners to have a plan in place ready to execute.

Do me a favour. They were tat.

Stop making excuses for a bang average at best manager.

He bought players and has wasted them.

Europe is there for the taking and he cant do it.
