LB on the bench.
RB on the bench.
Make it make sense.
The LB and RB on the bench are horrific footballers and not at a PL standard. I mean I think that part is really easy to explain.
It seems to wind people up but
James Garner is both comfortable at RB and our best player there. Call him Phil Lahm if it makes you feel better, but playing him at RB is the right decision and it did pretty well today.
Branthwaite at LB I'm less inclined to defend. Also a half decent manager could easily concoct the most basic structure that defends as a back four and attacks as a back three and we'd be fine with him there.
We don't have a half decent manager though.
We started a CM at LW because the manager insisted on keeping a player he should have loaned and now has to make that decision look justified.
