2025/26 David Moyes

It all depends on what they expect
For all we know they might be happy with the improvement on the last couple of years

I'd love a young talented, still learning but will innovate in real time manager, but I don't think we have the patience for that. It's why we end up with stuck in their ways managers

Iraeola for example would be entertaining but sometimes the wheels come off. Not had a great record lately for example
There's no shortage of very good managers available.

No one actually ever knew what length his contract was for, that’s where I’m basing my theory on, get us away from the mire last season, get us through the first at BMD without being in the dogfight and step down

I don’t believe even Davey believes he was gonna be back any longer than that
Well he has another 12 months after this season unless he’s sacked

Home form is concerning, think he needs to try something different as it’s not working at the minute. Certainly not calling for his head but he could do with finding some solutions for our lack of creativity.
It’s more than concerning, it will be 3 months without a win, 3 months without more than 1 goal in a home game. It’s a sackable offence
Edit, sorry we got 2 consultation goals v Brentford

Fundamentally it’s the belief that we are not good enough to play our players in the correct positions. Not good enough to play 2 full backs at the same time, not good enough to play one sitting midfielder, not good enough to have two natural wide players. Instead there’s always this limitation that we seem to have where we have to have a CB at full back, or a central mid playing wide. Other teams just don’t do this. They just play their best players in their best positions.

George is probably looking at Armstrong playing in his position and thinking why wouldn’t bother signing permanently here? Why is any decent full back going to join if they know that Branthwaite and OBrien will probably just play anyway.

Dibling, Rohl and Anzou not getting a look in is on Moyes.
No plan b when theres no Grealish to draw 2 defenders and win frees, on Moyes.
Shouldnt have started Armstrong on the wing, and after he did, should have seen George was needed at half time and not the 68th minute, on Moyes.
Persisting with Keane and Tark, and playing players out of position all over the place, on Moyes.
We were awful in the first half and united easily mopped up our pressure in the second.
Summer change please.

I'm going to say something really unpopular but I don't care.

As shown by the counter attack, we don't have the players with the natural ability to play front foot football. JB offered more going forward than Myko and we were unfortunate to lose the game.

I wanted to see atleast progression with him esp with the grealish injury, should have been the chance for players Dibling and george, even to try Dibling on the left. Same with alcarwz try a mid 3 of him kdh and garner some games,

Said it umpteen times mate: Moyes will NOT upset his senior players.

For me the worst all season is Tarkowski. He's a walking disaster and should have been benched half a dozen times already.

We’ve won 4/14 at home. Less than one win in three home games.

it isn’t expansive though. It’s slow ponderous and predictable. There’s no tempo, no movement, just aimless passing around the box then blind hopeful crosses when they realise moves have stalled - I can’t think of a team more hapless in attack than maybe Wolves and Burnley in the entire league - everything is so slow and ponderous, there’s no overlaps or overloads, nothing. The fact that we got caught on the counter doesn’t mean we were doing anything of note
We had 10 corners and they were all the same tactic

United’s keeper is solid if not spectacular

Not know for dropping the ball etc…yet still same tactic over & over
