2025/26 David Moyes

He needs to go in the summer. No point in leaving him in charge to sign a load of players that he won’t pick and the likes of Ndiaye won’t want to stick around for another year in a team playing 7 defensive players every game and playing in home games where you just try and nick a goal from a set piece.
Can you imagine JB rocking up in a utd shirt saying 'I loved Everton but I'm happy to be playing my favoured position now'?

We’ve won 4/14 at home. Less than one win in three home games.

it isn’t expansive though. It’s slow ponderous and predictable. There’s no tempo, no movement, just aimless passing around the box then blind hopeful crosses when they realise moves have stalled - I can’t think of a team more hapless in attack than maybe Wolves and Burnley in the entire league - everything is so slow and ponderous, there’s no overlaps or overloads, nothing. The fact that we got caught on the counter doesn’t mean we were doing anything of note
Think he now has 7 wins in 27 at home since he came back, shocking

‘We pushed them right to the end’?

Did we?

Felt more like we tried to stifle them for about 50mins then had a couple of ½ chances.

He’s got many strengths but unfortunately he’ll always be in awe of United and Liverpool. They could put 11 kids out in red jerseys and Moyes would still say they’re a bigger club than we are and it’s always difficult getting something against a United side historically, if you can come away with a point or get out alive you’ve done well.

We need a manager who thinks ‘this is a flaky United team so we’re taking these tonight’. Moyes isn’t that man and never will be.

He done it at Old Trafford though?

Surely the must question

The home record

The lack of playing over 70 million pounds of talent

Maybe they have but at the same time as some have suggested maybe they are happy that we have moved from relegation fears and low finishes to currently mid table.

We will see over the next 18 months how ambitious they are but I think people suggesting they won't tolerate him whilst we are currently 9th are a bit wide of the mark. That could change if we start sliding down the table.
