2025/26 David Moyes

So we need to get rid of a proven manager doing an excellent job because a vocal minority of our fans are bellends. Sounds like a recipe for success.
In my opinion, Moyes is a proven mid table manager, and he's doing a decent job, not excellent. That's his level, always has been. He was asked to come in and stabilise the club, which he has. Next season should be where we show more ambition, and I don't think Moyes has it in his dna. The Moyes of 20 years ago maybe, but not the current one. This forum gives everyone a platform to express an opinion, and we obviously won't agree on everything, and that's fine. Calling people bellends because they don't agree with your opinion is hardly conducive to healthy debate.

i didn’t say a thing about wanting to lose
i said the moyes bashing ff
Then why comment, the converstation was about posters wanting the team to lose. Its a football forum for crying out loud, if you can't deal with peoples opinions then don't come on it, people don't have to like Moyes or any other player for that matter. Most people support the club not individuals, individuals come and go all the time.

Which are the current young ones in the team every week that they signed apart from Barry? Even he was out of favour to Beto for a long time.

Rohl played well v Villa, never seen again. Aznou will never get a look at even though Mykolenkos contract is up this summer.

Dibling nowhere... Nathan Patterson only 24 but never gets a look in until absoluely necessary even though we looked better when he does play.

Shoehorning Michael Keane in at any opportunity and constantly playing Gueye.
These are all different arguments though. Last week George (20) started and Armstrong (19) came on, if Moyes just doesn't play young players they wouldn't be selected.

Dibling has offered very little. It's a fair argument that the staff may take some blame for that but there shouldn't be any suggestion that he should just carry on getting chances if he doesn't begin to perform. It is very odd that Rohl hasn't played a single minute since that Villa game, but I'm not sure his age is what's preventing him playing, more the manager's obvious preference for Gueye. Patterson is all of five months younger than O'Brien. Again, nothing to do with age, just Moyes clearly doesn't rate him. For what it's worth, I think there are very few people on here who know anywhere near enough about Aznou to make a trustworthy suggestion he should be playing.

There are loads of reasons to criticise Moyes, but this obvious reluctance to play any youngsters at all is false in my eyes. If they're good enough they'll play.

3 central defenders at the back ? :D
Well its knife to a gunfight time....Moyes loves these games, bigs up the opposition, talks about how well they are playing and we are not there yet or words to that effect and we will try to keep it tight and see what happens"...zero expectation, zero results its not his fault because we cant compete...if he gets anything out of it he is a genius. Hes made a career out of these games😊
