2025/26 David Moyes

This thread in particular falls to bits when we don't have a game for a while 😆

FA Cup again in a few weeks, so brace yourself
I know mate 🫣

plans are already in place to get myself a ban before that break kicks in..

Definitely a sanity draining experience..

Just need to bring the place to the boil before leaving you all to fight it out..👊

Then why have you been so critical of our recruitment at least the attacking aspect? he's just going to play the same three players the entire time until the injuries occur and then he has to figure who is comfortable with. I think the lack of rotation actually made KDH more susceptible to injury but that's just my take. I actually dug into the stats 😂 beyond this season and even at West ham during his 21-22 season he had the second lowest amount of substitutions so it's a pattern , here is some date I can provide more if you'd like? My aim is to convey no matter how good the squad is in Moyes's mind , he's always going to be apprehensive to make changes View attachment 344214
I've criticized the recruitment because Barry is crap and Dibling isn't playing and that represented the largest portion of our business. Think that's a fairly common criticism, even among those that don't hate Moyes.

Our substitutes aren't being used because most of them either don't improve the team or they don't offer anything different from the eleven out there.

We have all seen the Beto for Barry sub, we know what McNeill, Dibling, Alcaraz, and Iroegbunam are offering. They don't really offer much besides fresh legs and worse quality on the ball.

Who should be playing? Aznou isn’t ready. Rohl did ok but we have better options. Dibling has done nothing to suggest he deserves a start. Patterson has been awful for years.
In his all too brief showing at the Sunderland game, Aznou looked like he should be provided more minutes than he is currently receiving as he altered the momentum of the match within the initial ten minutes he was brought on, then how was he rewarded? Cast on the bench for perpetuity. Rohl had an exceptional match against Villa and instead of being bestowed minutes to continue building on his form he was sidelined for what appears to be very fatigued Gana that has been mediocre since he has returned.

You engage in such hyperbole, Patterson hasn't been awful for years has he struggled to establish himself? Yes but that's more due to constant injuries than him being an atrocious player from everything I've seen he's an average player that has just been denied opportunities so far this season especially when he's had some decent performances in the rare chances offered to him. Patterson being a natural fullback actually offers an attacking element and balances our play significantly

No it's also because he's not very good at footy and three managers have agreed on that.

Why is it then when certain peripheral players are foisted on Moyes to start due to injuries of his preferred options, we typically look and fared better on the pitch? Only for him to revert back to his favorites when they're available instead of going with a winning team. He does it not because our options on the bench aren't good enough it's that he's an obstinate geezer same with the substitutions he just risk adverse and ties making subs to form of gambling on the game

Which shows you that the quality of competition at left back in Morocco doesn't exist when they would rather play a full back on his opposite side and therefore counts for naff all when evaluating whether Aznou should start.
Mazraoui has played left back at club level too, he's known for his versatility

Who are these amazing peripheral players?

One alright performance from Rohl against Villa and he should be starting? I'm sure Moyes has his reasons. I've seen other appearances where he looks a headless chicken.

Dibling hasn't impressed when he's started, he hasn't contributed much off of the bench.

Aznou had a decent cameo against tired legs in the cup against Sunderland out of his regular position. He's clearly not trusted as a defender yet and from what I can tell that's correct.

Iroegbunam is the championship level exchange we got for Dobbin.

So who is it that he needs to play?
