2025/26 David Moyes

Kinn

Kinnear will be at Everton longer than Moyes imo
You would expect so.

Well, you would if he does a reasonable job. Let's face it, if at the end of the season we are sitting in eighth position and the turnover is substantially up, Moyes and Kinnear will both probably be here for a while. Barring ambition that they have yet to demonstrate, I suspect the Friedkins are quietly pleased with the current stewardship of their football club investment vehicle.

So they didn't win?

Well that looks awful silly now doesn't it.
What are you going on about, stop getting your knickers in a twist. I couldn’t care less about dyche and forest. He’s the worst manager I’ve ever seen at our club. I was pointing out that his team had 10 shots on target v wolves while we had 2. People act like Moyes is some top class manager we’re so lucky to
Have. The home form is a disgrace and we probably haven’t had 10 shots on target in tbe last 4 home games

Just for reference on those slagging Dyche & eulogising Moyes this is the table for Dyches Forest stint.

Moyes is plus one point from one game less. Dyche has more goals.🤔

The prem is the strongest it's ever been on average, compared to other leagues

People think everyone's crap because teams are constantly dropping points, I think it's more because most teams are actually pretty good
I agree - PL teams have hoovered up a lot of the best around the world and its the biggest reason IMO why its harder to squeeze young talent in. The quality and physicality is unrelenting.

You were literally whinging about how much you wanted us to be like them in here yesterday.

And they didn't even win....

I've got a lot of time for Moyes and think overall he's been great for us in a very difficult era for the club. That said, I think it's time to move him on in the summer. We know he can build an exciting team, the Baines/Pienaar/Arteta team was great but he still reverted to type in the biggest games and I don't believe he'll ever change so ultimately he puts in his own glass ceiling.

It's a risk to change but I don't think we'd go down but footballs about entertainment and arriving to win things and at some point you've got to aim for something better. Those two cup losses are actually the thing that annoyed me most this year and I think it's down to his mindset and that'll keep costing us.

I also think our recruitment team needs a massive kick up the arse. That Rayan kid from Bournemouth is yet another good, relatively cheap (£20mill but these days that's not loads) player that we'll be looking at enviously soon. But even if we had signed him, Moyes probably wouldn't play him because he's got this insistence about premier league experience. Obviously it's important and preferable but there's only one way they can actually get experience.

He had the 8th most expensive squad assembled in the league. Moyes has the 13th. Just for reference.

Very good point. It's a massive factor.

I made it repeatedly when Dyche was here with the 19th most expensive squad, ahead of only Ipswich and that was including last transfer fees for Harrison, Lindstrom, Broja which we obviously didn't pay.

We need to climb that table, and surely will do so again from this summer.
