2025/26 David Moyes

For me and I’m totally anti Moyes 😂 it’s not about league position, it’s everything else that frustrates you with him. A month a ago, his supporters would say, what subs do you want him to
Make he’s got nobody on the bench. Well you can’t make that excuse now, we even have Asnou and McNeil sitting in the stands

Sorry but I don't really pay attention to anyone that's openly 'totally anti-Moyes'.

Those trying to compare last nights game saying we did the same to fulham. Well i didnt see it that way. When we played fulham yes we should have been more down at half time maybe 2 because we also had good chances. Bournemouth didnt have any chances against us in the first half, couldnt string a pass together. Then the 2nd half against fulham we earned our goals by dominating the whole half. Whereas last night we dominated the second half and half of it with 10 men. They literally had a 5 minute spell just like last season. I dont see how that can be put on Moyes in any way.

The thing is for me, last night was an anomalie that cannot be put totally on Moyes.

I believe you were one of the people that was constantly banging the Fulham & Leeds should have been 2/3 up at half time. Well, this time it could be easily argued that we were that team last night, and it went into the second half. We had 5/6 opportunities that on another night would have gone in, whether it be great last ditch defending or poor finishing they didn't last night. We easily had the better chances and should have been out of sight well before the 5 minutes of madness.

I fully agree with the subs, they were poor. At 1-0, they may have been OK, as Armstrong did show something when he came on. But as soon as they scored, it should have been changed up. The overall reason we lost last night though was poor finishing, great blocks by Bournemouth and 5 minutes of multiple individual mistakes.

Not every defeat is 100% on the manager, this one I would say is about 25% on him. He is the manager, so there will always be responsibility put on his shoulders, but sometimes you just need to step away from your hate of one man and analyse the bigger picture.
Yes we should should have been 2-0 and also had a few other half decent chances, but we didn’t and like we seen v wolves and west ham at 1-0, they made subs like Bournemouth did and the game started to change. Before the goal they could have easily had a penalty. We all knew a west ham goal was coming and a wolves goal and the same last night.

Moyes’s go to sub is go defensive once we come under a bit of pressure, ok a lot of managers do the same, but as Armstrong was waiting they scored and yet made the same sub. So
Was Moyes happy at 1-1 that point ???

For all the 'he got the team wrong', I thought we were the better team outside of a mad 10 minutes.

I'm not sure I'd be laying criticism at the managers door for that.

More broadly, if we're criticising the managers failings, we also need to acknowledge that most on here are frustrated we haven't taken a chance to go 6th, when in recent seasons we've been battling against relegation.

Alcaraz had a horrible game just before getting injured, so rightly dropped. Rohl is incredibly inconsistent, mostly bad, sometimes OK.

Against Chelsea? Or Burnley? He played fine in both games before his injury. He's also shown enough to change a game.

The point being is his refusal to play them at all unless its 70+mins and we're losing...and even then will look to a defender.

Don't think Bournemouth got out of 2nd gear and capitalised on a 10min spell where we folded

There was a very strong case for O'Brien being benched last night if you ask me. He certainly shouldn’t have been deployed at RB either way. Idrissa clearly needs a break also..
