2025/26 David Moyes

18 points from a possible 39 at home. Not quite relegation form but still absolutely diabolical when you consider the embarrassing collapses and scale of some of those defeats.

The manager takes the blame ultimately.
  1. He agreed on signing Barry,
  2. He kept quiet all January when other managers would be bemoaning a lack of support in the market,
  3. He plays centre halves at full back,
  4. He plays a clearly knackered Gana Gueye,
  5. He played Dwight McNeil in the worst possible position for a handful of games,
  6. He previously refused to drop Michael Keane when he had options.
I know this season is probably deemed a gigantic success by the owners, but I can't imagine those fans paying through the nose to buy season tickets are too impressed.

It is okay, everyone.
We are comfortable mid-table team.
No need to win at home this year.

Keep in mind your small club mentality.
And stop talking about Europe like your favourite manager until we win an away game again.

Remember that we won because of him and we lost because of players.

God bless you...

Even if Moyes has Man city or Chelsea squad he will still lose to Iraola with squad C reserves..

Yet we beat we beat them earlier this season and we're above them in the table. As frustrating as this season has been at times, there's probably only one team in Brentford who we should actually be above.

Get rid of Moyes in the summer by all means but unless there is a huge amount of money put into the squad then there's going to be a lot of disappointment when we aren't any higher in the table.

Nah, it's their scouting and recruitment team. If we got Iraola it wouldn't be enough, we need better recruitment and better scouts. We are way behind Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford who consistently unearth good players for reasonable fees. We are in a bracket with Spurs and West Ham, big clubs who sign below average players for big money.

I'm hoping he's getting an idea of the basis of next year's team now, which doesn't include Mykolenko, O'Brien at full back, Gueye, Barry or Beto but does include Armstrong. He might need to go 3-5-1-1 for the rest of the season given the players available, but I don't see him having the tactical flexibility to do that.
