2025/26 David Moyes

What is Patterson? He's more attacking than a CB but your God is too stubborn
And yet every manager we have had refuses to pick him? Why? Because although we will be marginally better going forward we will be far worse at the back and for a team that doesn't score that many goals that is not a good trade off. It really isn't rocket science.

There is a caveat to this, yes Moyes is Doing a good job . But we also aren’t the club we were 12 months ago. New owners, new board, new recruitment team , new stadium. And 130mil spent in the summer. This isn’t selling all our best players and replacing them with, frees and loans and buying Demarai gray for 2mil.

This is not the same club/team Lampard and dyche managed
I accept your caveat, I suggest no manager ever has turned a club around in 12 months, regardless of funding or change of ownership.

Especially not when only halfway decent players are being purchased for a minimum of 60 million. In that context 130 million is not that much really.

What makes me think playing a winger on the wing instead of Harrison Armstrong or a right back at right back instead of a CB? Nothing mate, absolutely nothing, you're right, and I'm wrong.

A right back that is positionally suspect like Patterson?

Let's clarify something here; when you've got a player like that, who makes positional errors, you might get away with throwing him in for the odd game, but if he becomes a guaranteed starter, then you can bet your bottom dollar that other teams will notice and take advantage.

We all want to see a right back at right back, it doesn't mean Patterson is up to the job for half a season.

It doesn't mean JOB is up for it either, yet here we are, square pegs into round holes.

For what it's worth people REALLY want to see every move as a mistake by Patterson, and by people I mean about 5 of you. He's average but still a better RB than JOB.

I’d have been spent too, if I was manager throughout the seasons he saw us through.
Mate, you’re deluded. Dyche was a footballing disaster, yes as manager he saved our asses, but in no way could he get us where we are now. I went to every game under Dyche and only Allardyce produced worse football. I have seen every manager since 1968, the worst football being served up by Allardyce and Dyche. I include some pretty terrible managers in that time.

Why not just support the club manager, who is taking us forward?
