2025/26 David Moyes

I agree there are no expected wins/losses, but also at the same time I think this exact period (mid december to mid january) is why Moyes is getting criticised as it was Jekyll and Hyde with every subsequent performance, with bizarre selection choices for no reason, as no major injuries were reported?

Also cmon mate, you don't expect us to win against a freshly promoted team, or someone like Wolves who were at the literal bottom of the league (and among the bottom of the entire football league)? Really?
I didn't expect us to beat Villa away, or United, or Forest, or Fulham. Its swings and roundabouts. Maybe with a different coach we win all of those homes games but lose all of the away games.

Yes, we could've been 4-5:0 down easily before we actually tried to change the game, in a classic 70th minute.

The times we almost got a result but never did is huge too, yes.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

What makes you so certain that we get a result with different players on the pitch? Easiest gig in the world that; "we defo would have smashed Fulham if x, y or z was on the pitch. "

That's because Dibling has been extremely poor whenever he has played. So has McNeil. But maybe Moyes favours protecting a younger player.
It's because Moyes is a decrepit dinosaur who doesn't know to properly set up his attack and has given limited opportunities for Dibling to excel. How is he supposed to thrive without an attacking fullback to overlap with? The masterbaters for Moyes group is just getting more exasperating

This is it. Some people there is a counter factual universe where a mystical manager picks exactly the right team and tactics every game and makes the rights subs at the rights time and has us top of the league. Moyes picks what he considers to be his best team and sets them up in the way he thinks is best to win every match. It's as simple as that.

Lescott was fantastic at left back mate. We finished 5th. I remember Anichebe and Vaughan playing a lot in Europe for us. Which other youngster should have played that didn't. The Heitinga things I would imagine was because of a shortage of midfield players and having good centre halves. Sometimes players get played out of position. This is a under 9s net ball team. Managers don't have favourites. Jesus wept.
He bought Fellaini with him to United just to fit him up front and hoof to him.

People have favourites which they prefer, it's not u9 stuff, it's normal human things.

We don't have an attacking fullback though do we pal? So what do you want him to do?

What makes me think playing a winger on the wing instead of Harrison Armstrong or a right back at right back instead of a CB? Nothing mate, absolutely nothing, you're right, and I'm wrong.
