I agree there are no expected wins/losses, but also at the same time I think this exact period (mid december to mid january) is why Moyes is getting criticised as it was Jekyll and Hyde with every subsequent performance, with bizarre selection choices for no reason, as no major injuries were reported?

Also cmon mate, you don't expect us to win against a freshly promoted team, or someone like Wolves who were at the literal bottom of the league (and among the bottom of the entire football league)? Really?

I didn't expect us to beat Villa away, or United, or Forest, or Fulham. Its swings and roundabouts. Maybe with a different coach we win all of those homes games but lose all of the away games.

Feels like the same sentiment that is "oh I hate him because of 10+ years ago" is reversed in the "I love him because of 20+ years ago" camp currently, where you cannot criticise things that a manager is literally known for.

This is it. Some people there is a counter factual universe where a mystical manager picks exactly the right team and tactics every game and makes the rights subs at the rights time and has us top of the league. Moyes picks what he considers to be his best team and sets them up in the way he thinks is best to win every match. It's as simple as that.

The Heitinga things I would imagine was because of a shortage of midfield players and having good centre halves. Sometimes players get played out of position. This is a under 9s net ball team.
