2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes will never done anything at Everton I promise you, just wait and see. I’m over the moon we won and hope we get Europe, but Leeds at 1-0 DCL misses a sitter and Leeds has other chances too. Brighton should have been 2 up inside 15 and today Fulham should have been 3-1/4-1 up at half time, we’ve been so lucky to take 5 points out of the last 3 games, eventually your luck will run out
In saying that tbf, in the same half we hit the post, Armstrong was a lick of paint away from scoring a beauty and the one that actually went in for them was incredibly fortunate. The luck factor swings both ways

No it’s the usual suspects trying to tell you why he’s the the man for the job

I’ve said a million times they’ll be ups n downs

We’re still a work in progress also

It’s about winning end of the day

And it’s got to now start at
Home

Sheer lunacy to want to sack him
why cant we also just go for the low block at home since its so effective away

I believe Rainieri's winning Leicester team largely played the same counter attacking style home and away

the squad is what it is currently. no need to be pressured at home to play expansively and to entertain, until we strengthen in the summer.

Gana hits the bar at 1-1 mate so we are unlucky not to get 3 points

We were unlucky not to take the lead against Fulham.. unlucky tha they only beat Pickford with an own goal…

Can play the what if game all day and go down a massive rabbit hole

We are getting some results… but his team selections and subs are baffling.

the reluctance to play an actual RB…. The stubbornness of playing Gana or even Keane coming straight back in.

We are lucky enough to still be in the kind of position we are after the last 6-7 weeks.

yes, he is the man to stabilise this club hopefully and make us a mid to top half table team which he has done before and is doing now.

But if we have any ambitions of winning anything in the near future then he is not the man for the job.

As for this season, I do believe we need Europe finish or something ti keep hold of our better players and build again for next season. This season is a good a chance as any…

We need to follow up the good away win with a home victory… something we cannot do this year!

Except next Tuesday when Mrs BR and I are travelling over for the Bournemouth game 💙😎

…..continually playing a teenager, starting him out of position these last few games in place of McNeil. You have to feel sorry for the anti-Moyes narrative. Move onto Branthwaite not selected 😄 ;

Because the Floppys want 9 up front at BM and demand to be entertained.

….i really don’t get the confusion over the RB situation, it’s not difficult to understand.

He plays O’Brien because he believes he’s a superior option than Patterson. I happen to agree, I think Patterson is a defensive liability so I understand why it’s done. O’Brien is also a genuine threat in the opposition box, as we saw yesterday. You might disagree but that situation won’t change until we acquire a conventional RB with better quality. Hope that helps.

Not sure if Gueye was POY and PPOY last season, he’s just come back from being outstanding in AFCON. I think his stats are still amongst the best in the league. Moyes wants him on the pitch at this current time. Be patient, we have Armstrong, Rohl and Iroegbunam to transition into his spot in the not too distant future. He’s a fabulous player, enjoy him whilst you can.

Keane played because they are managing Branthwaite’s game time. It’s testament to Keane that we played half a season without truly missing Branthwaite, who’d have thought he’d be such a decent back-up.

None of this is complicated, thankfully the manager knows what he’s doing :bye: By the way, we won yesterday.

I don’t think people are complying that we’re eight but I think certainly since the Forest game, performance haven’t been great to say the least and it’s that, which is being contributed to by some of his selection decisions which are frustrating.

Having said that, equally eighteen months ago, we were constantly amongst the favourites for the drop so I’m not sure what some supporters expect - progress has been good as evidence by the league table (if not necessarily consistent performances).

If (and it’s a big if) we get European football, the turnaround he has overseen will have been remarkable from where we were.
