What have Carrick and Alonso achieved to suggest they would do as well here? You are picking names out of a hat and assuming (based on not much) that they will do better. Similar to how people were saying Frank was superior, but look how he has done at Spurs.

I mean, Alonso did well at the German club, but he was not buying the players. And Glasner is, yet again, melting down at his latest club.

Moyes is stable, keeps his head down and works hard. His tactics are usually pretty good. He overachieves relative to resources and has done it over a long enough period to prove it’s not luck.

As I said right at the start of this saga, you won't have any criticism of Moyes (except for his ties). I'm not sure there's much middle ground here. You love him, I don't. You want us to buy older players on higher wages, I'd prefer us to sign younger players on lower wages. There's no real point clogging up the thread saying those things over and over again.

Based on beating Bayern Munich to a league title which is a massive achievement in itself. He's widely regarded as one of the best coaches in the game. Only reason he 'failed' at Real was because the players don't like being coached with minutae detail so did what Real players do and conspired against the manager. He'll end up at the RS most probably and he'll unfortunately turn their fortunes around much to my chagrin

Tuchel plays stuff that makes your eyes bleed. Glasner manages to fall out with owners wherever he goes. Where is the strong case for either? And Alonso would surely be under pressure quickly if he didn’t start well given his affiliations.
