2025/26 David Moyes

I see Sean Dyche has schooled Manager of the Year contender Keith Andrews who recently embarrassed David Moyes...

Funny old league, this season. Imagine Leeds doing the double over us... Unthinkable.

Agreed but there are times when we have to seize an unexpected opportunity when it arises and I’d suggest this season is one. I think being 11th given the availability headaches we have had since the Chelsea game mean a European spot is up for grabs and it would be a missed opportunity (even if only loans) if we fail to at least strengthen the full backs again and positions. That will be as much down to Moyes as it will the recruitment team and the board

Very true.

This season is certainly wide open and with a win tomorrow we go 7th. Anybody can beat anybody, definitely between 5th and 14th, and maybe even wider.

Although, I am more mellow (and as implied generally have a more realistic pragmatic approach to following Everton) in my older age and try not to put too much emotion into football as I once did. Back then I would be screaming for us to get into the European places, but now I am more if we do great, if not then hopefully we will still finish high enough that we can build on this season.

What we can say is that we are in the conversation, never thought we would be able to say that again, at times, during the last 4/5 seasons.

This. Him and Kenwright broke this fanbase. Prior to that nexus we weren't just happy to survive we had aspirations to win something. Now we have a whole generation of fans that think top half is an achievement. It makes me so sad.
It is, but I give this way more to Kenwright to not be able to make this club to
keep up with some of the financial strongest clubs of today in the 90s. Pretty mad for a club that set up the prem. 2002 was already way too late.
