2025/26 David Moyes

This is exactly the point were he fails and gives us an eye bleeding performance.

If we line up with Gana and Garner in the double pivot, a half fit KDH at 10 again, and somehow put O’Brien back to right back I’ll be very annoyed,

We should keep the players in that performed against Villa, and ease the returning players back in slowly, perhaps with exception of Ndiaye.

I'm okay with Gueye and Ndiaye slotting straight back in, personally. It's one of them were they are both the best players we have in their positions.

But like you, I don't want Dewsbury-Hall needlessly rushed back and I certainly don't want O'Brien at right back.

Agreed, The only change should be Ndayie

What is it that Everton fans want though? Everything it seems. Just read a comment on here why cant we be like bournemouth. Ive got no issue with that but bournemouth have conceded the same amount of goals as Wolves and Burnley. Everton have conceded less than liverpool man utd and the same as Villa and chelsea. Moyes is a manager that builds from defence first. We all know it.
Reading this forum at times it comes across that people want the team to just switch the way we play away to a more attacking style at home. Understandable but not realistic imo.
Fact is we are more open at home. Thats why we've been picked off and lost as many at home as away and conceded more at home than away. We can keep games tight and punish teams when we get the chance. We dont tend to keep teams pressed in and eventualy have the quality to punish them in home games.
Moyes is stubborn and set in his ways. But the odd tinker here and there isnt the reason we cant pen teams in at home. Its the lack of individual quality to sustain and then punish. As opposed to the disciplined structure away and nicking it. We've scored 10 goals away from home this season and won 5. That tells you everything we are.
Im ready to move on from Moyes but thats a whole new world of better recruitment just as much as a change of manager.

I agree with most of what you say but he has to find a way to improve the home form, weve been pummeled by Newcastle Brentford Spurs, you say we open up more but our problem at home is defending set pieces, you cant say its the players when the same players have won away at Utd Villa Bournemouth, 3 killer away days for us in the past.

None of us have any idea what Everton are going to turn up tonight.
It wouldnt surprise me if we won 3-0 or got beat 3-0

The performances in all of those away games you mentioned were well drilled set ups. I dont personally think they were great football wise. We picked our moments and took them. Thats a very different approach to whats needed at home. And what the fans demand btw.
Its probably universally agreed on here that Mykolenko isnt a quality left back. Yet he's part of a team that are 3rd in the league this season for clean sheets. Theres a reason for that.
When Everton are at home and the emphasis is on attacking the manager cant turn round and say Vitaliy we're at home today son. Can you turn into Roberto Carlos and fly up and down the flanks.
