The reason we dropped out of the elite is all on that conman Kenwright, the fact that some on here still defend him boggles my mind. However, Moyes sold the idea that we didn't deserve to be competing, he was Kenwright's front, the man who explained that we should be grateful that we were just existing in the premier league. Whilst all of that Man Utd stuff grates, the real reason I can't get on with Moyes at this club is his role in normalising us being rubbish.
Even in the Johnson years, with a succession of poor managers, our expectation was to win not just to exist. When we won the FA cup in 1995, even after successive relegation battles, we didn't think it was some sort of miracle, we were used to winning things, we expected to compete even if we didn't win the big prizes all of the time. Now many of our own fans see finishing 10th as an achievement and that it is impossible for us to win a cup. Moyes sold us that idea while Kenwright gurned away behind him awarding himself "biggest blue in the universe" trophies. They sicken me.
