If he chose a manager he would than have to stand by him, can't see that happening..Have you got a preferred choice of manager if Moyes is replaced?

The reason we dropped out of the elite is all on that conman Kenwright, the fact that some on here still defend him boggles my mind. However, Moyes sold the idea that we didn't deserve to be competing, he was Kenwright's front, the man who explained that we should be grateful that we were just existing in the premier league. Whilst all of that Man Utd stuff grates, the real reason I can't get on with Moyes at this club is his role in normalising us being rubbish. It is, but I give this way more to Kenwright to not be able to make this club to
keep up with some of the financial strongest clubs of today in the 90s. Pretty mad for a club that set up the prem. 2002 was already way too late.
It was the 90's that put us in that situation. The reason we dropped out of the elite is all on that conman Kenwright, the fact that some on here still defend him boggles my mind. Even in the Johnson years, with a succession of poor managers, our expectation was to win not just to exist. When we won the FA cup in 1995, even after successive relegation battles, we didn't think it was some sort of miracle, we were used to winning things, we expected to compete even if we didn't win the big prizes all of the time. Now many of our own fans see finishing 10th as an achievement and that it is impossible for us to win a cup. Moyes sold us that idea while Kenwright gurned away behind him awarding himself "biggest blue in the universe" trophies. They sicken me.
It's true that the rot started under Johnson but it accelerated hugely under Kenwright. Kenwright was also in charge for a lot longer than Johnson and refused to accept that the job was beyond him. Even when he finally sold up, and made himself very wealthy in the process, he only did so with guarantees that he retained executive power. Kenwright, abetted by Moyes, put this club in a new dark age. History will rightly regard him as a blight on this club. Hopefully the new owners will be more effective, only time will tell.It was the 90's that put us in that situation.
We failed at stamping a footing after the creation of the Premier League..
It's simple to go back to then and say we had more expectations, the FA cup wasn't even a decade after a previous trophy.
We have had a journey of wrongs, not just one Wrong named Bill..
I'm not trying to jump to defend a certain individual, just saying it's been a long rot. It's true that the rot started under Johnson but it accelerated hugely under Kenwright. We’ll get more bounces than Jenna Jameson! We should have a guest manager each week, to keep getting bounces
Erm, Moyes probably stopped the club going into administration! It's true that the rot started under Johnson but it accelerated hugely under Kenwright. The only 3 home games you could suggest we have failed to “defeat” massively inferior sides would be wolves (which was a joke of refereeing), west ham and Brentford (whose sides probably cost a similar amount to ours to put together so aren’t really massively inferior, certainly brentford).Genuinely no excuse for the current home form. Perfect new stadium with fans behind the team as soon as they pull up in their fancy coach.
If the players cannot cope with the expectation from fans about defeating massively inferior sides, then the manager should already have had them see sports psychologists and have then training much more often at the ground.
I will not accept "other clubs have also not settled into their new grounds" as an excuse, as we were crap at Goodison for years too. We now have much better players than most of the teams that have taken easy points off us at home this season, certainly more than good enough to not have conceded three or more goals three times.
With all of that in mind, the ultimate responsibility lays with the manager.
Some serious rubbish there mate.Every time there's a sniff of Europe, he contrives to bottle it spectacularly.
He was more terrified of going 0-2 down than he was hopeful of clawing it back to 1-1, hence the cowardly refusal to make a substitution.
His fans would probably stomach a 2-3 home defeat to Leeds, as if that's some sort of consolation prize.
Have you got a preferred choice of manager if Moyes is replaced?
This is exactly the point were he fails and gives us an eye bleeding performance.Huge chance tomorrow now to really put us amongst it
