2025/26 David Moyes

Don't like, don't want him. However I can't complain about our league position and season so far. It's not an overly strong group of players, it's perfectly normal there's ups and downs and I think it would be relatively normal if we were anywhere within a couple positions up or down from where we are.

Logically doesn't the table being so tight mean the teams around and below us are also picking up more results against the champions League than usual? Why would our squad be expected or demanded to be above the other teams right now.

Butters is an easy block. Utter attention seeking impatient nonsense or unfunny comments, but doesn't get so many replies that it messes up the threads.

Now If only people would stop replying to the lemon ....

On topic the run of games from now until the Arsenal game is an opportunity for Moyes to really do something unexpected. Leave the actual RB in please. Then with yesterday's tactics and how he used Rohl/Armstrong I think he has options in how to approach midfield game to game or even in-game. I'd love to see him surprise me and alternate a bit more now

I’m much more fascinated by the people that go into hiding or get angrier when we win, which is far stranger behaviour.
This is a good point. Can we review which usual high volume sky is falling down posters went timid or awol since full time yesterday please?

It’s for the good of our online community that have an honest talk about these scurrying rats.

This also for me.

There is no doubt he is doing what we all wanted him to do, but i would still like a change in the summer.
He has got us where we are as a squad IMO, i just dont believe with better players he takes us to the next level and i think that is down to his mentality. He thrives of being the underdog (Think our home form and away form prove that) he seems a bit clueless when we have to take the game to the opposition.

How come when we win away HE gets the plaudits but when we play crap it's the squad, the injuries, the players? How about a little more balance? Davy didnt kick a ball today...the players worked their arses off:) If he can motivate them and come up with tactics to win games like today's, why cant he motivate the same players and come up with tactics to beat Brentford, Wolves and Sunderland at home? Beat Leeds at home Monday and we will all be happy:)
Actually should work the opposite way in all sports…wins are on the team and losses are always on the manager as the buck stops with him..

Think he might give Gana a rest next week, so a chance for Rohl to get some more minutes as Moyes clearly likes him.

Hope he keeps Armstrong in as I can’t really see any good reason to send him back out on loan.

Our bench has been embarrassingly short last few weeks so we need to keep our strong players available.

The argument about what has been spent in the summer is weak at best. Is a team built in one summer? Then why are we comparing what was spent to league position?

Did you also see the state of the team at the beginning of July? Just like the promoted clubs we needed to spend to make sure we had a squad capable enough to compete. Pretty sure both Leeds and Burnley spent similar. Sunderland spent more than 150m. It's not like he had a 400m war chest. Spending what we did in the summer is a standard summer for most of the league now.

Was interesting seeing how Newcastle also struggled to get past Wolves.

The MOTD2 punditry pointing out that they are more comfortable on the counter-attack and start to look like they've run out of ideas when they get too much of the ball.

Hmm, sounds familiar. Same charge also levelled at Glasner's Palace ofc.

Almost like that might be the hardest part of the game...

Eddie Howe will be gone at the end of the season imo, its clear he has run out of ideas there and judging by their fans he can take Gordon with him.

The only funny thing here is that you believe that Patterson played well at RB. A player you've always said wasn't good enough.

McNeill did as well as Dibling did against Forest: doing his own job and not leaving the clueless Patterson to play RB on his own.

…I can highlight his weakness and still think he did fine in a game. Indeed, it would be a bit daft and blinkered to say otherwise.

I’m not a fan in the least, I think he can be a liability but he did fine last night and I do think it improves the balance of the team to have a conventional RB. It demonstrates (to me) how much difference quality full-backs could make to this team if we can find them.
