2025/26 David Moyes

The reason why is we’ve been missing our 4/5 best outfield players. The team we’re putting out at the moment is relegation standard or not far off it. Not saying we’ll be amazing every game when they come back next week but things should start to look a lot better than they do now.

You should also throw the " Look at West Ham " line for another excuse to throw in that statement.

If you leave this echo chamber and talk to fans of other clubs you'd get a complete reality check. Moyes massively overachieved with us last time he was with us and he performing as expected or better this time round too. It's pretty much universally acknowledged except on forums like this which are full of cranks. Why do we expect to outperform our spend on wages and player fees. It's just completely deluded. It's like an ugly bloke with no money holding out for a super model.
Wow you're exceeding your standard insulting posts with this one!

You'd have made a nice little profit yesterday if you'd bet on Arsenal and liverpool not beating 2 of the bottom 4.
But sticking with Everton. I dont these days go into a single league game thinking we're gona win this easly. The wolves one you'd have had to been on the moon to realise its not the same side they were under vitor pereira. Its to simple to just say they are bottom.
Strawman, sorry mate. As far as i'm aware, nobody here currently expects us to pummel a team. However I believe some do expect us to be progressing as a squad, giving it a good go, playing okay, having developed more tactical options than hit-and-hope and not regressing.

No team in the League could cope with having their 5 best outfield players missing at once. Not an excuse, it’s the reason why we’re struggling. Anyone who thinks the squad as it stands could be doing better is unrealistic. When we get them all back (hopefully) next week, we can give a better judgement.

I dont tbh. Not until we get some decent fullbacks and a couple of decent forwards.
I think we're pretty average.
We're where i think we would be. Mid to lower table.

Moyes does well when the expectations are low but when expectations rise he sinks. As soon as there is any pressure he bottles it hence his ability to keep us in the top half but never win anything. His results are so up and down that has to be the cause. Its not the players.

If we get everyone back next week and we struggle, that might be the case but at the moment and in recent games, the issue has been we have too many of our key players missing at the same time.

Id usually agree mate but the causes of that darkness was all but gone with Moshiri and the issues he caused - the club had such an opportunity last summer. New stadium. New owners. Record spend potential. Deadwood leaving.

We decided to give that rebuild to Moyes, who reportedly, TFG wouldn't have give the job to it Dyche held on until summer.

I dont think this works in modern football.

... I dont think he was TFGs first choice either.

No not within 2.5 years but we've not won a thing for over 30 and Moyes was manager for near 40% of that. Seems counter productive to me to give him the rebuild.
What makes you think he wasn't TFG's first choice boss?

Did we even interview another candidate?

Are you saying I should stop holding out? FFS Sunday ruined even before we get spanked
