2025/26 David Moyes

I dont think he's got much choice but to start some of Patterson, Rohl or Dibling over the next few games due to suspensions.

Think we'll see McNeil shifted left, Dibling or Rohl wide right on Saturday. Possibly even Rohl starting at right back if he really mistrusts Patto.

I'd say it doesn't leave much on the bench, but it's not like he's big on using it.

Moyes isn't all of the problem
But nor is he any part of a solution past June.

New Owners
New Ground (thanks Mosh)
Different Managers over the last 10 yrs
Have all had similar Debacles
As did Moyes Mk 1
Moyes Mk 2 has just confirmed why I wasn't too sure about the 2nd coming
But like I said it's not all his fault - but there are days he really doesn't help

I couldn't begin to guess how the Cup game will go - but we'd better win...if only to paper over the cracks

In good news, Moyes's hands are largely tied for this cup game. Short of dropping our best player - who saved us an embarrassing point last night - he won't be able to do much of his patented "resting" of senior players for the grind to 11th. And if he drops Pickford...oh my word.

Moyes is almost always at his best when he has no choices.

He’s always had to be forced into playing square pegs in square holes, it’s infuriating.

If we couldn't attract the talent in the summer, what will make it any different this summer.

What is the best window to buy ?

We knew what we needed before the summer, we missed it.
We've now had another 4 months to prepare.

You grab it in this window, you have a more balanced/functioning team, you move up the table, each position moved up is more incoming money, each position higher makes you more attractive..

2 FB's isn't a big ask, even 1 Rb would make a big difference.

Leave it to late, could determine your fate..

OMG i'm miserable today..

( KDH, Illy, Gana, hurry up and get your asses back and save me.

im
keeping my sanity ( just ) as i KNOW
we’re a decent side with all our players

I assume that Moyes will bring Grealish straight back in as soon as he is available as he did with Gana.

I just find it a bit inconsistent that players are not selected, allegedly based on their attitude in training but indiscipline in matches from the senior players is overlooked.
There's a difference to be fair. Gana held his hands up (no pun intended) straight away and apologised to everyone involved for letting them down, and at the end of the day both what he did and what Grealish did are split second decisions that you might regret immediately and acknowledge were wrong. A poor attitude in training is much more likely to refer to a long term issue and no attempt to address it.

Probably fair enough. It probably just annoys me that players come in, have a good game & then get dropped & we are told the team gets selected based on their attitude in training.
