2025/26 David Moyes

Reactive management and never preventative/proactive.
Poor man-management.
Old tactics, no fresh or new ideas.
Terrible football.
Reliant on picking his favourite grocks every week.
No evidence that he can pick out real top 4 quality forwards in the transfer market.

The man hasn’t changed with the times and I really hope this Friedkin crowd have his replacement lined up for the summer.

I think he’s gone in the summer. He was brought in to keep us up and succeeded. They offered him an 28 month contract but as we were desperate he insisted on a 2 1/2 year deal and got it. We now desperately need reinforcements and there’s no rush to bring them in. The board have obviously decided that we should be safe enough and don’t want to waste any more money on bringing in players which mightn’t suit a new manager. We’ll go with what we’ve got

It’s not the fact that we drew 1-1 with wolves that is the problem.

It’s not the team selection either. If Keanes header goes in for 2-0 instead of hitting the post then we win.

It’s the fact that every man and his dog could see the game unfolding in the second half and that wolves were getting on top and he did nothing.

He’s destroying Dibling and Aznou too. Not only that, he’s sending their careers backwards. That’s 50m he’s unable to coach.

I’m so angry about this it’s unhealthy. Despite having dominated the first half we then sat back and drew statically one of the worst prem team onto us as if we were hanging on against PSG .

It was possibly the most obvious thing ever they were going to score and it was only our manager who didn’t see it happening .

I didn’t really want him but have been pretty satisfied with the appointment but that yesterday has driven me crazy .

He got out managed by Rob kin Edwards. How our strikers can look so isolated yet we simultaneously let them have the freedom of Bramley Moore in the centre of the pitch is quite the achievement. Like we were playing with 9 all second half. They had 4 players on our back 4 when attacking and we are at home hoping Barry gets the better of 2 or 3 defenders on his own. Tough watch and a shame the reds will hide the fact of how badly Moyes got it wrong.

Totally agree with all that Harry.

I think he knows he's on borrowed time.

If he's still our manager next season I'd be shocked and disappointed

But, 29 points by the first week of January and no risk of relegation for the first time in years.

Yes, he has his faults but I'm more than happy he's here at the moment.

Bit of solidity is great, look to build on that with the right appointment in the future. Remember what happened last time he left, we don't want or need a repeat of el fraudo

Think the biggest worry for the owners will be he signed Dibling, Rohl, Alcaraz and Aznou and does not seem to trust any of them and Barry has been a bit of a flop so why would they want him spending any more?
If it was Moyes. We all assume that he gets the final say but the problem with this committee nonsense is that there's no accountability

When we go out the cup I hope we thank him & let him go as job done, avoiding relegation. appoint Baines as interim manager until the end of the season whilst working on a new manager for next season.

We've seen this movie before.
Saturday we lose 2 0 to Sunderland. Travers starts, as does Beto who is subbed for Barry in 80 mins.
Lots of grumbling but pressure is off and end of February, we go on a nice unbeaten run and finish 9th. What more do you want is the question?
Well raking advantage of Spurs and Newcastles poor seasons would have been nice or addressing the long running deficiencies of the squad. But no we'll try again next year.
We're not going down. The gulf in class between the Premier and Championship is now so big that unless you are an absolute clown show, no established PL side is ever going down again.
Why wait til the Summer? You're going to waste the time you should be recruiting players to look for a manager?
Let's show some ambition. Go get someone exciting and ambitious. Sell them the vision, give them three months with this squad. Give them the whole Summer to recruit.
