2025/26 David Moyes

We'll get KDH, Ndiaye and Gueye back and we'll stabilise and start winning games again.

But the last few weeks was really the test for Moyes to pass IMO: a month or so without players who are a safe pair of hands on the pitch and get results, by and large. Winning while they were away would have been a good indicator that he's the right man for the job here.

However, he's shown himself up for what he is: a man who comes up with excuses rather than makes do and mends and uses creatively the players he did have at his disposal. He's used the media to talk up 'depletion' and excuse him for not utilising the players he had to choose from.

Instead of proving to us what a lateral thinking and inventive coach he could be, he hid behind excuses. That's the way this feller rolls, and that's why he's never what we need if we truly want to get back to the top table again.

Would not surprise me at all if we lose against wolves...

Feels like our form could fall off a cliff...

Hopefully wolves result against West ham was a one off, and it was because WH were so bad that they allowed wolves to maul them.
I just cant see anything other than a win. It's unthinkable.

Wolves were rubbing their eyes yestrerday wondering how they scored 3 goals and won a game. They're not on any charge back up the table. They're done and dusted.

Commentators keep saying Garner hits great set pieces, he doesn’t, they’re absolutely woeful.

I don’t know who designed the pitch either but why do players still have to run up a hill to take a inswinging corner?

I just don’t know how you allow one of their biggest aerial threats a clear run at a free header from a corner when you have OBrien Tarkwoski Keane Barry Beto Rohl Iroegbunam all on the pitch who are all massive.
Don’t get the love- in with Garner on set pieces. He’s taken over 50 corners/set pieces this season and our goal output from them is zero.

Moyes had KDH, Ndiaye and Gana available in the equally pathetic performances v spurs and Newcastle. He can’t hide behind player absences for today’s abject performance. He’s done nothing to address our appalling defending of corners or being undone time and time again by a basic ball over the heads of our centre backs.

Yes. He's just not a very good coach and he surrounds himself with people who aren't very good coaches too.

The players he has at his disposal like Ndiaye, Grealish and KDH will lift us toward and hopefully into the top ten this season. But I dont think we'll smash right through mid table, and it'll all be a bit meh.

He really needs to throw everything at the cup now. If we go out early in that competition this is not going to be a very happy organisation.

I’ve lost count how many we’ve conceded from corners. You’d think with 3 centre backs on the pitch all the time we’d be watertight defending them, but every corner causes panic and chaos.

Have to say was impressed with Brentford today, think we all underestimated them, today and before the season started.

Some good players, experienced in this league, well balanced in terms of squad - skill and physicality, well drilled on system and game plan and man did they fight.

They were better. Better prepared and we were out played, out fought and out thought.

Loads of lessons in that today for us.

Bet we’l hammer Wolves.

Loads to learn from Brentford as a club, remember everyone waxing lyrical about the RS and their recruitment. Turns out the best player trade was Tiago replacing Wissa for £55 mill ( I know he was there last season). What a player Tiago looks, I’d spend 70 mill on him tomorrow.

Top player trading.

Exactly what i thought, as bad as we were, you can't take away how good they were.

I'm not trying to make any kind of excuse for our performance, but watching them, thats what i want to see out of us.

Quick intricate passing, fast transition, pressing was top drawer.
Sweet early balls into the box and clinical finishing.

Their game was basically spot on..

Our 2 goals came from Jack putting the ball straight in the box, rather than trying to cut back.
That's where his assists came from beginning of the season.

Learn from it and do it more, Barry's getting into the box more now, so no excuses on getting the ball in quicker..

Brentford aren't a good side they've just done what everyone but us do in the transfer market. Which is buy fast, strong and athletic players and get them too press high.

The amount of times they just booted the ball out for a throw-in under no pressure was appalling.

But these results will keep happening when were at home and the onus is on us to attack. Without attacking fullbacks and two wardrobes at cb.

I think the idea was to counter attack today but tarks just gave away a goal and that ment we had to come out and play there game. Also our counter attack relied on McNeil being able to move faster then a dead door knob to press and barry not strolling round the pitch like we were 5-0 up.
