2025/26 David Moyes

It would matter less if Mykolenko on the other side had a great understanding with Grealish and they marauded together on the left, but they dont.

This January HAS to see either or both FB positions sorted out, never mind all the nonsense about 'incremental' improvements in transfer windows.

The height in that team and yet, sounds stupid we scored two headed goals, we seem continuously beaten in the air and bullied all around the pitch. The only player for me who could hold his head up was Jack Grealish, the only one to take them on with any invention. McNeil was atrocious and please Moyes don't play Jake at fullback again, only centre half.
Spot on mate.

It shocks me to see how easily this team accepts that any given match will be the one they dont respond to getting a bit of bullying. There was a meek acceptance of Brentford dominating them physically today.

That's at base a lack of pride in yourself.

No footballer should accept being dominated in individual match ups. They are a discredit to themselves and their club. It's shameful.

Dave we were fine the first ten minutes could have scored two goals, then they scored with their first attack and the team just wilted like a late Autumn flower.

considering the height of the team the way pieces aren’t good enough. We’ve gone back to the Silva days of getting nervy about every corner. Meanwhile Garner and McNeil either hit the first man or the opposite corner flag. O’Briens ‘long throws’ are actually just short throws to the front post defender to break on us. This should be stuff that is easily sorted.

I know mate, it was shocking.

Our professionalism is a complete joke.

The basic conclusion to make now is that this lot can turn into Richard the 'kin Lionheart on the road, but they aren't good enough or brave enough to take on the responsibility of bossing teams in a stadium like this.

The opposition are now figuring that out: our new stadium is working to THEIR advantage.

That's wrong for all kinds of reasons.

The manager needs to look in the mirror and ask himself why HE isn't filling them with fire and running out spitting blood at home.

Are they trying anything different in training?

They should do. All we ever see is our GK, CBs and FBs camped on our own goal line and pressed tight by the opposition. Surprise surprise then that when they get a touch on it its in the back of our net.

Even in Moyes first time here he went through long spells of conceding from set pieces...a former CB himself btw.

All valid but the thing that really highlights it is going a goal down early on.

It makes Moyes whole philosophy malfunction.

Terrible performances today, Spurs, Newcastle all predicated on shipping early goal and wheels completely falling off.

Moyes whole football ideology is based on 'stay in the game'.

It's not conducive to blowing teams away at home.

Commentators keep saying Garner hits great set pieces, he doesn’t, they’re absolutely woeful.

I don’t know who designed the pitch either but why do players still have to run up a hill to take a inswinging corner?

I just don’t know how you allow one of their biggest aerial threats a clear run at a free header from a corner when you have OBrien Tarkwoski Keane Barry Beto Rohl Iroegbunam all on the pitch who are all massive.

Massive and passive.
