2025/26 David Moyes

I think last summer is actually the one that has cost us though. Spending badly on expensive players is much worse than poor recruitment with a very limited budget.

I stand by my opinion last summer thar we had no strategy and just made it up as we went along. We just signed randomly and went from player to player. First thing we did was try to sign Tete as a new RB, then gave up signing a right back altogether.

I think it was a woeful transfer window considering we has monet to spend. I want new people to make the recruitment decisions.
That could mean a new manager, though.

Back to his best, setting up defensively against a team with a terrible away record. The home form is worrying and as I’ve said a 100 times, Moyes goes 1-0 down and he has zero clue what to do, just been schooled by a set piece coach. Throwing 2 big lumps up front didn’t work, though both scored and Rhol to right wing wow

Nothing will ever change we will get this a dozen times a season under him. 4 points from the last 3 is a poor return and he needs to beat wolves, because if he doesnt he’s under pressure and rightly so. How many games have we won and played really well, a lot of have been defensive backs to the wall performances

Get the blinkers off Moyes or
Keane will see you are the latest manager he helps get sacked.

Agree.

The clubs would, and have said the likes of Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall were for the immediate.

And Dibling, Rohl, Barry and Aznou are development/for the future.

Either way - as a squad we've improved. Not to the level required, and the recruitment has been poor. It wasn't hard to recruit/improve upon a team that had 0 net spend for about 5 years.
You admit then it's not to the level required for the ambitions we have.

Got there in the end.

This would be a ridiculously dangerous decision. Just ask West Ham.

We need way more quality before we move on from Moyes. We’ll pick up as many points in the second half of the season as the first and finish mid table. The things holding us back from doing any better is the squad.
West ham are where they are because their owner has consistently sold their best players, let agents define who they sigh and is just a small more annoying Kenwright

TFG have the financial muscle to get a good coach and back him.

Moyes will never win anything here and at 62…is too old to change

Nothing we didnt know. Moyes is steady Eddie. He'll dig out enough results to sit comfortable.
Im not sure id want a younger manager until there is some investment. esp in the back line. If we're not sitting compact the potential for a hammering is always there. Thats why we get results like forest away sitting deep but leave two 30 something centre halves exposed on a big pitch. Wolves will come and look to expose us as well.
Lots of work still to do. I think that outside chance of European football was maybe more optimistic than i thought.

Two big home games coming up for Moyes now. Bottom of the table Wolves and our only chance for a cup run. We can't be losing both of them. Even losing one of them would be disappointing.
This was a bigger game, let’s have it right we ain’t winning the fa cup. Only way to Europe was through the league
