2025/26 David Moyes

I think with the subtantial improvement with Iroegbunam. The two fabulous centre back performances from O'Brjen and the unleashing of Dibling thats a reasonable target.

However, we do still have glaring weaknesses with limited attacking output from left back, no top right back and KDH being used as a 10.

Id forget the striker unless Beto goes. If were looking big picture then we have to get Barry games so he steps up a level next season.

Weve been linked with 2 or 3 right backs now in the media so its an open secret that one is needed.

If we signed the new Cafu then I'd be super confident we'd have a high chance of Europe. We need that player asap so Ndiaye & Dibling can benefit, not to mention O'Brien and Tarkowski would benefit as well.

A key position.

I'm sticking to my guns and saying that Moyes needs Europe this season or we need to see the team being recycled for next season. Meaning significant game time for Dibling and potentially the likes of Iroegbunam, Barry and others to drop the age of the team significantly.

If we go with the old pros and favourites then he has to come away with a tangible reward for sacrificing player development.

Were 5pts off 4th and 2pts off 5th.

Unless the RS have a huge dip for at least half a dozen games we wont catch them now.

5th - 7th we have a slim chance.

8th would be a very good position. Anything above that and we'll be ecstatic.
You say that, but they play Arsenal midweek (and then city) when we play wolves, so we could be right on them again.

They have only won twice more than us and one of them was against us and we picked up a draw in the other. They still have to come to our place and in 3 of their last 4 they have away games to man united and Villa and home to Chelsea. I’m not convinced they don’t have a poor run.

That doesn't make sense.

For relevance sakes, maybe Moyes is telling others behind the scenes different injury updates for different players, when one of these lies turns up in the press he has his mole.

Why do you dislike him, mate?

Most posters who don’t really want him regularly mention what they don’t like about him, it all should be clear to most fans regardless if your own opinion.

I personally see him as very arrogant and because of how low we fell and the environment created by Blue Bill he saw himself as bigger than the club and played us down constantly. I was very tired of him by the time he left, and it’s a pity Bill didn’t go at the same time. His general demeanor and comments after he left just confirmed that opinion for me. If he’d won something or had a real go in big games I could understand it. Just my and other fans opinions, I’ve no issue that others see it differently

Beyond that, my biggest disappointment right now is this is supposed to be a new era, and whilst I’m delighted we are not an absolute wreck of a club as in recent years, it’s very uninspiring and very “Everton that” to have our new era kicked off with something I’ve seen a million times before.

But he is doing a very good job like I say, and it's great to see people excited instead of utterly terrified!

I just don't think we need to be getting at each other for what I think are reasonable stances on a manager we all know inside out

(Leaving aside the main wum whose opinion should be ignored I think)

I read your post twice and can’t extract from it why you don’t like him. Because he’s a bit arrogant and he left us is all I can decipher.

Odd, but long may his good performance as Everton manager continue.

Moves is just not ambitious. Dull uninspiring football. Long ball tactics. Pretty much never beats a 'top' team. I know we did beat Forest but Forest outplayed us. Lots of passing football and crosses. Did we defend well or would a better team have put three past us? We always put caution before style. Bottom six by season end anyone?

Do you think you are in the Dyche thread?
