2025/26 David Moyes

I think you are right but other managers give an update on players injuries and I believe that's what pressers were designed for, and Moyes does not do that, so I question the reason for a presser in his case.

He's notably changed tact recently, proactively telling journos he's not going to say what injury or when Dewsbury-Hall is expected back, same with Keane and Alcaraz.

Maybe he still has a huff with the leaked team news/injuries.

5th: Chelsea
Just punted their manager and disharmony with their fanbase

6th: United
Disharmony surrounding the fans and potentially up/down results

7th: Sunderland
Can their form continue all season

Big big big opportunity for us if we can bring in a top right back at least.
Our biggest threat is injuries and suspensions.

Although id like signings I actually think this squad, fit and healthy has got enough to finish in the European places.

The league is a much of a muchness this year.

Looks like Moyes has a part time job on some BBC series.

I mean, as things stand we are currently in a european spot. Can we continue OUR form? If we make a couple good additions this window, and strikers start scoring I dont see any reason why not outside of injuries.

The real dream is Branthwaite comes back, we get a striker who scores, and add a competent fullback. Then the team is well-rounded and europe is the goal.

Interesting little table in an article about Rosenior/Strasbourg/Chelsea; Everton have the 5th highest number of total “long passes” across Europe’s top 5 leagues this season. Behind only Getafe, Burnley, Wolves and Palace. Strasbourg are lowest.

I know we like a good hoof, and Pickford accounts for a fair chunk of them over to O’Brien, but very surprised we are that high. You’d hope that would continue to come down a little more given we have players Grealish, KDH, Dibbling, Ndiaye even Garner.
It may be thats because we dont try and play it out of the back when pinned in like a lot of teams. We just hoof it out and play it long in those situations. That also may be one of the reasons we have given up so few goals, and few goals off of bad turnovers near the box. I think its true that when we attack we prefer build-up play, but we dont mess about when we are under pressure.

I hope Branthwaite does not come back diminished by his injury.

Personally I really really don’t care about this if we are getting results and winning football matches.

Very close table this year, it's 10 points difference between 4th and 15th after half of the season, but I am confident.
