2025/26 David Moyes

Please can provide the evidence you’ve mentioned?

This is a bit silly tbh

It’s not a new or shocking concept that a football fan of our club or any other might consider Moyes negative

You have decided for some reason that because I believe there’s loads of evidence that I “should” provide it. Why you’ve made up and then applied that rule to this conversation I dunno

You literally posted that there’s “lots of evidence” that proves Moyes is negative and I’ve asked to see it. It’s not that complex…

He seems to be one of the "more" saner Moyes-bashers and I get it. He will definitely get it that I like Moyes. So, as somebody said, leave that bone. If you really are spilling for a forum fight, go after the fruit. You will be kept busy trying to make sense of the inane hot-air that will be burped at you. Let this go....

I believe that he’s politely telling you he’s not interested in having to provide you with evidence of Moyes being accused of being negative.

There will be multiple threads in the archives if you want to go and find it yourself. I honestly don’t believe you will have any difficulty in finding it if you look as it was something which was thrown at him numerous times during his first stint as manager.

I’m a lover not a fighter. Words, and how they are used are important. You shouldn’t use them without substance.

Happy he's here so we can put the snot-pated dinosaur in the rear view mirror. However, some of Moyes' team selections smell of "horses for courses" thinking and he could stand to be a lot more proactive with his subs and be a little less risk-averse. All told, though, given the improvement over this time last year, there's no doubt he's done quite a job.

I didn’t say it was complex. I said i wasn’t interested. As others have since said it’s a discussion done to death and an opinion that many hold

I’m sure you are not trying to put words in my mouth or apply thoughts to me that I haven’t had, but you are somehow managing to do it

Words having substance does not equate to me having to provide you info on something any Everton fan will know is a very common opinion of our manager. It’s an odd stance tbh

If it’s the fella who was going on about “the big lie” he’s been muted. I don’t suffer fools.
But we have to suffer you, telling folk to prove Moyes isn’t a negative manager? If you’ve watched his career and don’t think that, fine but you’re in a small minority - including Man Utd and West Ham fans.

He’s cautious and risk averse, I don’t even think he’d deny that.

That isn’t to say he isn’t a good manager or that he can’t get teams playing good football, he obviously is and can. There are plenty of good negative managers, Mourinho, Simione off the top of my head.

You read any of the Man Utd players after he went there? Rio said under Fergie they spent the week concentrating on how to break teams down, under Moyes they didn’t do any of that - it was how to stop the opposition.

Tim Howard said the same. The biggest difference from when Roberto Martinez joined Everton after Moyes, they spent time in training coming up with plans to win games, instead of how not to lose them.

I actually think he’s doing a good job at the moment for what it’s worth and like him believe it or not! But come on, isn’t negative? 🙄

Just sharpen those knives for when he loses two in a row. The glass ceiling shouts will come out again like broken records.

He's doing a very good job of it at the moment which is why everyone who wants him sacked wants it done because of how he was in his first stint. Not too many valid complaints to lodge at him right now beyond the cup exit and making an exaggeration of our first window of transfer spending in half a decade.

When he hits that glass ceiling is the time to talk about sacking him. Not while we are still on the elevator ride up.

A lot of the language used online is not the same as that used offline. My Everton supporting mates would never say "he" lost two in a row. He doesn't get to play. Everton, or "we" win or lose. I think most of us are not pro or anti moyes, we just support the team and whoever the manager is, and especially when we're doing better than we've done in about a decade.
