David Moyes says Everton will not sell in order to buy in January

I predict (no sources, just my thoughts) that Fellaini will still be an Everton player when the January window closes, and this will just be more bull**** like how Baines was certain to go to United all summer. I can see Fellaini going in the summer, not in January though.

And on the very rare off chance he does go in January, we'll be quids in because we'll get £30m for him, of which Moyes would probably get most of the money to spend, given that they're trying to keep Moyes sweet so that he signs a new contract.

We'll be laughing either way.

Here's a question lads...

Buying a player in jan is usually more expensive depending on circumstances. Given that CL qualification is the only thing that may make him stay in the summer and let's be honest is still a big ask for us going up against teams that are stronger than us.

Would you take a big bid in jan of say 40M apposed to 30M in the summer??

I think EVERYONE would take 40mil. It would be disappointing to lose a player of his quality but 40mil is 40mil....

Would you sell your girlfriend/wife to an arab sheikh for 40mil? I would......

yes, I like fellaini but if we want our style of play to be quick football played on the floor ( which i feel is our most effective style) I think we could replace him and bring in extra quality quite easily.

i don't think he is worth 40m or even 30m though.

I posted last night mate that we've made that exact point to someone who has enquried namely we aren't interested in selling the player in January.

You don't have to believe me mate and I totally understand that people don't . All I can say is that somebody enquried on behalf of another club about the player and was told that we weren't selling.

Wouldn't be remotely surprised to see us offer Anelka a contract in January.

If we did want him would we be able to match the kind of terms he'd be looking for . Given his 'previous' I'd imagine he'd be looking for huge personal terms

Are we suppose to be happy that we dont have to sell to buy?
Since when not having to sell assets (like rodwell in the summer) was a thing of pride?
If we could get better money for our players from crap convertors , Bill and Elstone would be handing Rodwell over the counter.

It's out of our control and we just have to get on with it, we're competing for a Champions League place regardless aren't we?
