David Moyes - all reaction here

I think he still could sort it. But he needs to change. He believed in his own hype in his last 3 seasons for us.

There's a massive difference between going from Preston to Everton and building a side in your own making for 11 years, and the next job being Man United.

He's out of his depth. But I think he'll be very shrewd in the summer, spend a lot of money on quality, and put things right next season.

He won't be there longer than 3 seasons though. He'll be a stop gap as you change to a more suitable manager.

Dont buy that for a second. He thought he could do the job, because they similar, (in some ways), people.

If 2014 Moyes went to Utd in 1988, he would have done ok. Not Fergie esq, but ok.

Their board loved the idea of him working on tight budgets, (proven record there), but were blind to the important limitations that only match going blues, and me, were aware of.

I said at the time he went to Nev that his talents wernt needed at Utd, and that I couldnt see Moyes develop his weaknesses in time, if ever.

Moyers would make a great chief scout/ director of football, but he's not tactically clued up to be a great manager.

I know he's burnt his bridge's here but moyes as chief scout and Martinez as manager would be a great combination

How many times have you seen the board go up for a Substitution, Glanced at the clock, shook your head muttering "ffs they TOLD me about this & I thought they were taking the pish" then seen a defender appear from the bench and put your head in your hands ?

Forgive us for viewing this all with hilarity and hoping that whoever negotiated Pardews' contract did his as well.

But would we have to see him?

You gave him plenty of time yourself Nev to be fair

Lesser men than yourself would have turned on him long before you did

You have my respect for that

Controversially, I think he could save it, but it would require him getting a brand new back room staff and being ruthless with the axe in regards to Round and Philip

He also needs to spend money but on the CORRECT players.

I doubt he'll get the chance though

I don't get this need for new players. I mean just in attack, he's got RVP, Rooney, Chicarito, Mata, Januzaj, Kagawa. Some serious talent there. Even the likes of Nani and Valencia have proved they can do the business in the Premier League. Heck, even Young, Wellbeck and Zaha have won England honours.

That's 11 players there of a decent standard, with some of the names there being top drawer, yet they managed one shot on goal against Liverpool at home. It's a far cry from having to play Tim Cahill up front isn't it.

It's been already mentioned but Alex Ferguson hanging around is doing him no favors, his continuity should have been SAFs back room staff. He would have the continuity and the control, now he has neither. If United want to fix this they have to get rid of Moyes, Ferguson, Round, Neville, Woods etc. As a club, they need to come out from Fergusons shadow.

For the first time, on Sunday, I started to feel pity for Moyes. It's clear that his players don't give a monkeys. He needs to make huge changes, both backroom and playing staff. Will he have the balls however? No. Will he take over Newcastle when Pardew karate chops a fourth official and gets sacked? Yes.

Not saying it will happen but do you reckon Guardiola will go there one day? I even watched an interview where he said he would "like to trainer(coach in poor English) in England".
