David Moyes - all reaction here

Agreed, they've needed a leader for years since Keane left. Ferdinand has never really been up to it and he's goosed now anyway. They need full backs of world class quality too. They won't be far off. Certainly CL spot contenders still if they get the right manager in.

Dont be silly Dave.

That squad has 3 World Class players in it, Mata, RVP and Rooney, the rest are utter rubbish.

Fellaini will fit into a good side well, but he looks terrible when playing with terrible players.

on paper their 1st team is still better than ours -

de gea>howard
coleman>rafael
baines>evra
jags>vidic
distin>smalling
carrick>barry
fellaini=mccarthy
mata>pienaar
Januzaj=mirallas
rooney>barkley
van persie>lukaku

results are down to the manager
Carrick looked an utter passenger the other day, and van persie wont be lifting a finger till the world cup

I'll believe it when I see it, Moyes ability to hang on is genius.

There is not an iota of football knowledge behind the scenes at OT the place is festooned with marketing, catering and pencil pushing flunkies the vacuum created by the dictator retiring protects him.

Judging by SAF's puffed up red face and rumoured schmoozing in LA to get a film of his life going he won't be getting involved again.

Moyes is like one of the undead you think he's done then the leather emerges from his tomb to suck the blood out of whatever football club he's sunk his teeth into again.

The point is though that the Great Satan are near the top of the league with one world class player, so for United to have three they should be doing a lot better than they are.

still a good player tho, basically they have enough good players to at LEAST be challenging for 3rd/4th
yeah when you look through the squad they should be top 4, with carrick, van persie and maybe vidic being the ones whose form is so opposite to what it was last season, he does seem to have lost the dressing room

I think the GK is very good too.

But three world class players plus a few worthy international class players can get you very close in this PL. Liverpool haven't even got that but they're within spitting distance of grabbing the title.

I dont think moyes ever found the dressing room, the players have been evidently against him since day 1.

Any other club would have cut their losses around Christmas time. I think Fergie's anti-player power stance is keeping Moyes in a job

Teams keep getting it massively wrong against them, playing high lines and defending like morons, not to take anything away from them, they are playing some great football (vomits) and they are certainly bang in form, form takes you a long way in any league. But they still have Jordan Horrendson.

Yeah, I was a bit harsh, De Gea has looked quite good recently, well as good as anybody can look in a side thats sinking like the Titanic.

Villa and WBA are the only teams to take PL points off them since the New Year. Tells a story that. The decent(ish) teams still think it's a good idea to try and play their own game. It's not. Defend deep and in numbers and hit them on the break.

If you leave acres of grass behind your back 4, with the pace of Sterling and Sturridge they're going to exploit it, as they both sit on the shoulder of the FB / CB and wait for a ball in behind, as long as the ball is of quality, they'll get there first - every time.

Sit deep and you avoid that, but you risk the inevitable 'tumbles' for a Stevie DJ dead ball delivery, which have been their other main source of goals this season.

I bet Brent cant believe his luck how many teams refuse to learn the staggeringly obvious lesson on trying to commit against them. Villa showed them a mirror image and Brent didn't know WTF to do about it.

If all the teams they played so far since January had played them like Villa, sure they'd have suffered the penalties and danger of whipped in free kicks you point to, but I cant believe they'd have the points total they have now. I said it before and I'll say it again: it's a system that just cant be sustained. Liverpool will have to evolve a plan B for the future because eventually even stubborn PL managers with more ego than sense will act to snuff their threat out.

what is this on about/. how are united not going to win a title for a decade?

get rid of moyes and they're already back there in the top 4, probably challenging the title as well. they've spent £60m odd this season on just two players, they have plenty of money to make a recovery next season with a good manager.

10 years ffs?
