David Moyes - all reaction here

I think he'll get removed either just before the World Cup or just after it

I think he'll survive the rest of the season

A scrappy win mid week and another win over us at Goodison, in conjunction with a lifeless draw with City, will likely give him enough momentum to make it to the end of the season

That in itself was unthinkable for a Utd teams ambitions 9 months ago.

Some United fans annoy me a bit.

They have years and years of being boss, and now they are struggling they think it's their divine right to be up there. Well it's not. Maybe, just maybe, you've had your time.

Not all United fans are like this I have to state, but it's certainly what I've heard from some.

I'm sure the older fans remember the bad old days of the 70's

There's a new generation who have only seen them win though and they aren't taking it well

United are staunch in their principles of retaining managers for the long haul. They won't sack Moyes in his first season no matter what.

Don't buy into this myself, the only reason they were staunch in keeping SAF was that he won things, they where ready to sack him after about 2 seasons of crap. Their not going to keep Moyes if he carries on the way he's going. Before SAF there was Atkinson, McGuinness Docherty O'Farrell and more so it's a myth they stand by their managers for the long haul, not if their losing.

Moyes has to be sacked lets me honest there. I think they need to get to the end of the season and replace him with someone new. Sacking him now will do nothing for the club as whatever happens in the CL it is season over for them. I said it at the star to the season the squad (who are reigning champions btw) would see the difference between a winner and a loser and give up playing for him.

I feel sorry for him though in all honesty. Take for example yesterday, whatever would have happened in that game, his players gave three pens away and got themselves sent off. As a manager how the hell do you combat that? Or De Gea dropping the ball to cost a goal? Said it before United's problems begin and end with Moyes but when everything goes against you then it is hard to just sack him. Just like us in the F.A cup, no matter how well Martinez had his game plan to win, Barry sticking his leg out needlessly and we go out of the cup.

David Moyes missed a trick in january. If he came to us, bought coleman and Baines perhaps for 25 million plus the brazilian twins then we could have transformed united. Instead he plays a star player out of position and now faces a trip to norwich or stoke as his next job in football.

Some have turned to doing what they ridiculed LFC for for years.

He's a dead man walking, the wheels are already turning and even Fergie can't save him now. Mata was meant to revitalise them but It's obvious to anyone watching that Mata and Kagawa in a Moyes team are like two tits on a nun, in that they don't serve any purpose under that way of thinking.

There's vast amounts of money at stake here and keeping him is now a bigger risk that getting shot.

Yep. It's unlikely he'll be given time to turn this now. There's little point in giving Moyes the summer transfer budget to waste in the vain hope he'll get United going again. It's obvious he's out of his depth with the expectations of a global corporation like United and handling quality players.

I've revised my prediction he'll be given the first part of next season. It seems inconceivable right now. If they went on an unbeaten run in the remainder of the season and showed signs of clicking, then maybe. But I dont see that as likely.

I started to feel quite ill when he started saying "Spread them wide" and "Come up the Middle", followed by "Batter them up there"

Worst Adult Channel ever.

I'd bet it's missionary position all the way with Moyes
If the missus asks for foreplay Davie promptly replies 'oh aye, fore play across the middle with one behind the front man'.

Fergie was never slow in admitting a signing didnt work out for him, and would cut his losses as soon as he could. If they do give him till christmas, that means backing him big time in the summer, and with no CL money, this season, and maybe next.....well, not sure they would be confident in doing that.

Fergie can be rutless
Their's no one suitable who's take the job mid season.

Giggs could have been care-taker till the end of the season.

He will get next season but it's a mammoth task.

Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra...three of a back four that won everything, are finished. Will require an absolute fortune to adequately replace them, and with no guarantee of getting it right. The understanding in a back four also takes years to get right. Phil Jones is a yard dog.

In central midfield they lack class...so he buys Fellaini. The passengers in the team (Carrick, Cleverly and co.) are being found out this season. Giggs has been good in there but he is finished.

In wide midfield they lack pace..he buys Mata. Quality player, but in the Rooney position, so to keep the shape of the team you have to drop one of them. It was a player they didn't need. Playing him on the wing makes him anonymous and an easy task for the opposing defender.

Rooney and RVP have never worked together and Fergie knew this. Big reason why Rooney was benched so often last season and wanted away. Van Persie was quite fortunate last season in that he didn't break down as he normally does. Normal service resumed this season. Rooney being given 300k a week smacks of pure desperation.
