@davek van persie certainly wasnt1 lol i suspect they are happy signing new contracts cos they know he wont be around for long and if they get a decent manager in they will be back in champs league
Be amazed if anyone could turn Utd around quickly with the personnel to hand. Massive rebuilding job - it's true there's be a line a mile long to take over, but I reckon the real managerial elite will be giving it a subtle bodyswerve. You're looking at some barren years on the cv before that squad is challenging for honours - most big time Charlie managers don't normally go in for that sort of spade work. You just know someone will come in after Moyes and take these to the top of the table again...making Moyes look like a bigger chump than he already does.

Agreed, they've needed a leader for years since Keane left. Ferdinand has never really been up to it and he's goosed now anyway. They need full backs of world class quality too. They won't be far off. Certainly CL spot contenders still if they get the right manager in.I disagree, they still have most of the components of championship winning side (its only really one midfielder of real quality and one or two centre backs that they genuinely lack) - the problem is Moyes, or rather the squad's obvious lack of respect for him.
