There are some very strange people around commenting on youtube this morning when you play any of his songs. Some are quite hilarious in their ridiculousness. Guess it sums up what he meant to some people.

One of the most creative rock stars of all time.

The way he kept reinventing himself and still releasing so many classic songs was amazing.

He's up there with a select few, the likes of John Lennon, Freddie Mercury & Michael Jackson.

Probably had the edge on those three in terms of fashion and starting in movies. Just a legendary figure.
