As teenager, a shared gravity held my music orbit: Led Zeppelin and David Bowie. Tonight, I'm felt very sad...and old.

When he did Heroes they turned the speakers around to face East Berlin - and it started a riot over the wall. The Stasi heard chants of down with the wall for the first time that night.

Gutted. Sadly too young to ever witness his performance live, he was said to be excellent. His back catalogue, quirky, yet sheer brilliance. A man who clearly changed the face of music, and helped integrate music and diversity, to make it okay to be different. A true pioneer.

Probably, what people of our generation will remember from the 2012 olympics will be him, and Heroes too. Iconic, and spine tingling.

However, the latest video is very chilling, and i shall not, ever be watching that again.

A fantastic musician and of all the absolute greats that his generation produced he was probably the greatest talent of all.......

I remember Noel Gallagher once saying, "when in a tricky situation i used to ask myself, what would Bowie do here ?"

I also vividly remember being on a train back from wembley having just beat United on pennos.
The most druken Blue ever sat opposite me. Asleep with his headphones on. Obviously Bowie blasting his ears. He was muttering the words to Rebel Rebel as he slept and his arms were going everywhere.
Daft what you remember isnt it.
